New Year’s Day pub lunch that turned into more of an endurance event. Nearly three hours for a three-course meal gave us plenty of time to reflect on our life choices. Service was very slow throughout, and the prices set expectations fairly high — unfortunately the food didn’t quite meet them. The beef shin £25 was particularly disappointing, being quite gristly and fatty. A shame, as it could have been a lovely way to start the year with a relaxed pub lunch.

The food is lovely.nI ordered pork belly with roast apple.nNo apple on my plate, when I adked they had run out.nNo apology.nPlates not cleared for over 20 minuted as we wanted to order desert.nIts not table service is what I was told.nIf you're goung for foid it is lovely but dont expect any kind of service.nI was just waiting to be asked to clear my own table

Stopped here a few times with the wife and we love the old pub. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly. The food was lovely and the room we stayed in was lovely and clean and comfortable I will definitely come back and stay again

Rooms are petite but perfectly proportioned.nStaff go above and beyond.nHad breakfast and dinner and both were excellent!!

Really good helpful staff a nice room spotlessly clean. Impressed would definitely stay there again
