Beautiful Victorian Guesthouse. Very friendly receptionist. The long-term residents were pleasant company during breakfast.Rooms: 5/5
What a great place , rooms are clean and the service is really good however there prices are a bit expensive.Rooms: 4/5
Good value for couple of nights stay. Central for train station and town. Helpful staff. Rooms nice and big with fridge, coffee making and ironing facilities in room. Bathroom was lovely and good size. Nice and clean. Safe location with parking. Needs some updating but a beautiful building with lots of original features. Breakfast ok with turkey rashers and chicken sausages, self service
Very nice hotel in Huddersfield, breakfast has all the essentials that you need bacon, egg, sausage, cereal etc. Rooms are very nice, a tiny bit of dust was in the room I stayed in but it was not a bother at all. Helpful and friendly staff here as well, and very cheap prices as well.
"don't judge a book by its cover" A warm and pleasant experience we had with the family during our stay. The grade listed building has been renovated to a high standard with decoration to match. The rooms are extremely spacious compared to your conventional high street hotel ones and the service provided was second to none. Children had ample space in the rooms to relax and loved that bathroom interior. All in all a fantastic hotel, in fact one of the best ones we've been to in recent years and would definitely recommend to friends and family. Sometimes its nice to have that personal touch with your getaway and the staff definitely went above and beyond in their duties.
Really nice place, grand and full of attention to detail, but there were a couple of things. The house is splendid, very big and the rooms nice and roomy. We were upgraded to a family type room with an extra bed. The room was light, airy and big. The bathroom had every mod con hoping and was superb with a brilliant walk in shower! There was a full sized fridge in the bedroom, but it wasn't on an adequately cold setting. There was a gap of approximately 1.5 inches under the bedroom door, which made it draughty. There was a gap around the door, letting in light all night. The pillows are dated. The quilt had some kind of crinkly cover under the cover, and it wasn't pleasant. The bed was a bit knobbly, but really not a bad one! It's definitely sleep there again, so it was okay. The young lady at reception was a real star, very friendly and always asking if everything was okay, which it really was. Breakfast was cooked for us. The bacon was not bacon, but my guess was a strip of turkey rasher, or reconstituted meat. Not the best. The sausage wasn't the best. Toast was unlimited. The orange juice was plentiful. Again, the young lady was brilliant and extremely helpful. I did like my stay here and would choose it over a chain hotel any day. Lovely friendly and safe service in a nice big house.
Spacious room, friendly staffs.Rooms: 5/5
Poor service!!! im very shocked as to what i have witnessed at this "hotel". Firstly there is a mixture of homeless and paying customers which i didnt feel safe with my children. I was immensely shocked to see the management and hotel staff accusing a paying customer of ruining the hotel because of a leak in one of the showers. Surely this has to be the problem of the hotel!? Avoid this place like youve been avoiding coronavirus.
Loved it, overnight stay. Ali so welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms spotless. Would recommend. Thank you for your hospitality and for the warmth of your welcome.
The hotel is shared with homeless people. We were not informed about this and arrived with our baby. The manager/ owner was then rude and also would not even return our money prior to even staying one night. A disaster of a hotel and a disaster of an owner.Rooms: 1/5
