Since refurbishment the decor is a lot better&I don't know if they've had a shake up of staff but the staff I came across were friendly and welcoming. And the food is a lot better. I had a Carvery&there are always 3 choices of meats you get a good amount of your chosen meat. And there are a large variety of side vegetables always hot&replenished often. There is also gravy,mustard,cranberry&Apple sauce if you want them? Cutlery,napkins provided on table. And you now have the option to download their app and order&pay at your table. Haven't tried their stone oven baked pizzas but they smell and look nice. I would of gave it 5stars but hearing the waitress &kitchen staff talking about how they got chatted up on nights out&how they turned them down not in the nicest of ways! Along with comparing cheesy chat up lines they had used or heard&laughing at them&discussing 'pulling techniques" although some were entertaining, its not what I wanted to hear whilst dinning with my elderly father! Perhaps talk quietly or keep it for staff room or after work! I still recommend The Fox well worth the money and you can now book for all day every day online now which is always a bonus for them family get togethers!

Great experience! 6 of us for 86th birthday meal booked in advance for Sunday 12.30. Food, drinks, Staff, service all excellent and great value. We all had the carvery. The 'Go Large' portion option was amazing! Would recommend. Thank you all at The Fox Stonehouse.

The Fox has multiple areas including a bar and dining area. The toilets are well looked after and are immaculate. The food served is of a wide variety. You could have a Carvery, pizza or some pub favourites. The drinks served are of excellent standard. There are many ales and bitters with a good selection of soft drinks. Overall, the pub is a great place to take a family for a meal.

Great food, great prices. £25 for three meals and three drinks, normally you'd pay that sort of money for one person. If you're looking for a balanced meal, the carvery is ideal for that, lots of veggies to choose from. The restaurant decor has improved significantly in the last few years, it feels cosy. Perfect for a family meal.

Horrendous place! I only go as my Mother likes it as it's local. Everything is on the carvery. Example I order Fish and Chips - yup it's on the carvery section and almost every time when I shuffle along with my "baked" battered fish the chips have all been taken by people with Sunday roasts. Twice now I've had to sit watching my family eat with a fish in my plate waiting for more chips to be cooked. Have previously ordered a burger with cheese. It turned up absolutely soaked in about half a pint of cheese sauce -not cheese slices... not mentioned so I returned it and asked for a plain one with cheese slices. In fairness the staff are good and happily sorted it but when the replacement arrived (arrived free the other 5 people in my party had finished again!!) I couldnt eat it as it had loads of chopped red peppers through it - no mention in the menu. Good idea. Ut doesn't really work. Carvery should be carvery and all else should be table ordered - simple!
