Went with a friend for Sunday lunch - she likes pork and I like beef so this was perfect for us. Excellent meal, superb service and all very friendly. We were not hurried - even though they were busy - just able to enjoy our meal at a nice relaxed pace.
First time coming to this particular pub and I can't fault either the food or service, both were brilliant and for that i happily rounded my bill up for a tip. Good selection of ales as well, especially as I do like an ale. The menu was also great, so many choices to choose from i found it hard to do so I'll be back for sure next time I'm in bury and I'll definitely recommend to anyone who asks me for a good pub in bury.
Had a lovely break here staying in their superior room. Room was spacious and comfortable. The huge bath certainly added some luxury. The food was 5 star, particularly the breakfast. The staff were all very helpful and attentive, particularly Giavanni. Centrally located with the cathedral and Abbey grounds just across the road. Perfect break, will come again. x
Had our annual stay in the Superior Room which is completely beautiful. We had their dinner and breakfast which was lovely and had lots of choice. It’s recently under new management, who are very friendly and lovely. We highly recommended and will definitely be back next year!
Stayed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Room was delightful, clean, relaxing and warm. Food at the Fox Inn was all really good. Service was first class. All the staff were friendly and could not fault. I had the most delightful stay, made my Christmas. Would definitely stay again.
Went there for my husbands birthday meal. We were really looking forward to it as previous meals we had there were great but sadly we were disappointed today. I ordered an aperol spritz but it had so much soda water in it you couldn’t taste the alcohol however at my request they did give me an alternative drink. My garden salad was missing two ingredients again, I was offered a replacement meal but my husband was halfway through his course so I elected to just wait for the missing ingredients to be brought to me. A large chunk of my husbands steak was fat and inedible. We ordered dessert but had to wait a long time and eventually asked for it. When it was served to us it came with an explanation that they were a chef short. What saved the meal was the desserts which were delicious. Overall a very disappointing experience.
Good menu, food arrived hot. Friendly staff. Parking at the rear of premises is even and well lit. Ladies toilet has steps to access and were respectable.
Excellent food, welcoming and friendly staff, lovely cosy feel to the place.
Lovely accommodation. Convenient parking. Good food. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.
Great place for a nice quiet drink, and the food is lovely too, the staff are attentive but nor pushy
