We walked from Endcliffe Park in Sheffield to Fox House which is a lovely 6 mile walk, then you can have something tasty at Fox House and get the bus back. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine. We were originally going to have the coffee and cake deal but the burgers looked irresistible so we had those instead and they were great. The service was great; they were friendly and attentive. They also allow dogs inside!

The rooms are large with comfortable beds and sizable bathrooms. The location is quiet so only the occasional animal noise at night. The views are pretty stunning and, although not a walker myself, I can imagine it being a popular stop for the more active. The continental breakfast was very nice despite maybe lacking some variety but the pastries, fruit and cereals were all we really needed. Not too far from Sheffield either, should you want to venture into the city. The Innkeeper's Lodge was perfect for our short break in the Peak District.

Had a lovely meal in lovely environment. We booked.to be able to take our dog and we're given an excellent table in a quite area which was great for the dog t relax. Very impressed with the restaurant and the staff.

Great location, not far from Sheffield while just a stone's throw from the beautiful Hope Valley. The bar area is comfortable and relaxed and I found the staff friendly and welcoming. Can't say much else because I didn't stay long, I was killing time until the bus arrived back into Sheffield (it stops right outside and goes the other way too - through Hathersage, Bamford, Hope and on to Castleton). It's right on the limit for the Sheffield City Wide bus ticket.
