Just had an overnight stay, excellent reception staff and lovely large room.nHad a swim before breakfast,spa changing and shower area very clean.nreally good choice for breakfast, dinning staff welcoming and efficient.nOn checking out,staff gave us a street map and highlighted our route.nDefinitely recommend and stay there again.
Bought a spa day for my Birthday with afternoon tea and 2 treatmentsnThe staff and the treatment were brilliant but the spa area especially around the sauna steam room etc just looks really tired and needs some definite TLC the aroma room was out of service and the steam room door kept sticking so was difficult to open and close at timesnAlso might be a nice idea if the spa relaxation area had a beverage area instead of having to go back up to reception in your dressing gown.nThe afternoon tea was nice especially the warm scones absolutely delicious
Stayed 4th Feb for theatre visit. Arrived early, reception staff very helpful and knowledgeable arrived early and stored our luggage for us efficiently dining room staff very welcoming. Room 516 large and comfortable. Extremely clean bathroom with bath and separate shower. Excellent location for theatres. Would definitely stay again if in the city.
After having a spa day bought for my wife and I, we was looking forward to a nice relaxing time!! Yeah right, how can that happen when the hotel hold an aqua class at the same time ? Music absolutely pounding out. I did witness another lady get up, pick hr book up and walk out, only to assume it was for the same reason.nThe staff did offer to give us another date to return but to be honest we had paid for parking £15, then to have to return and pay another £15, just doesn’t appeal. Over all VERY DISAPPOINTING.
First visit to Sheffield.nStayed with my partner there for 3 nights to attend a coursenBooking process was super easy, I did that over phone and this was a straightforward experience.nnLocation was very good for me, literally 5 min walk from the university.nPlenty of restaurants around, all were good and within a very short walk. However, bear in mind that you need to book a table if your coming on a weekend.nnParking is separate, but you get discount if you book through the hotel. Q park building is 3 min walk from hotel.nnCustomer service was superb, the hair dryer broke and when my partner spoke to reception, it was changed in a very short time.nnThe room was clean, however small for a king size. Barely a space to move around which was a bit of inconvenience. Also the view of the window is narrowed with the cladding on the roof.nnThe bed is very comfortable and it was quite too, so I had no roubles falling a sleep after a long day.nnI had breakfast added to my booking and honestly was not too impressed with it. Not the quality I would have hoped for but was ok for me as I got to eat before heading to the course. But if I’ll go back there for a holiday, I won’t add breakfast.nnMy experience was overall good and I recommend this hotel to be one of the options of anyone is considering coming to Sheffield.
