I often stay at this hotel excellent location. The rooms are big,bed comfy. As a woman travelling alone I always feel safe. Robin on reception always makes me feel welcomenThis last Friday I stayed with my husband son and daughter. Robin had remembered it was my son's birthday. He made sure we got complementary welcome drinks and when we went to our rooms rose petals had been sprinkled on the bed and the towels had been shaped into animals.What a lovely surprise and how nice to go the extra mile it made our son's birthday. Fantastic customer service. Thank you Robin
This review is on the Spa as I didn’t stay in the hotel…. Spa reception very friendly. Steam & sauna at a really good standard. However, swimming lessons on a Sunday morning or any day of the week in a relaxing spa is a massive no no! It’s supposed to be relaxing. Kids screaming and running around the changing rooms. Also, the pool was shortened to make room for the swimming lessons which made swimming that little bit harder due to lack of space
Very good, simple check in the room was large and comfortable & the mattress great to sleep on. It was quiet and the temperature was easily regulated as well as the room being very clean.nThe room was a tad spartan -everything was well maintained but it did feel like it would be due a refurb/ upgrade in the next year or so. The spa is a bit of a disappointment - I used to be a member and it wasn't as well run or maintained as it was. The spa staff were perfunctory. The hotel staff we very friendly and helpful especially in the restaurant. The breakfast was nice but again a little spartan compared to similar places I've stayed- Leonardo Hotels for example.
Excellent client services and utterly professional & welcoming staff.nBreakfast was superb with a very substantial and good variety of food.nWe could not fault any part of our stay and we will not only return to this hotel every time we visit the city, but also we wholly recommend it to every reader of our review.
Location is fantastic, check in was fine. Arrived to find empty wine bottles and dirty glasses piled up outside the room. The rooms are decorated well, other than lack of plugs near mirrors according to the missus hair straighteners. Found the coffee cup and cutlery to be dirty, contacted reception to be told to go down to collect new ones, not the best service. The 2 pillows were filthy. Used the Spa facilities which were ok, breakfast was fine too. Has so much potential with it's location but the service and attention to detail really let's it down. Oh and don't be caught out by the £5 tray service for ordering any room service.
