Great place to go for coffee and lunch or breakfast. Outdoor or indoor. Flat white excellent and ice coffee great too. Food options looked good but we didn't sample them.

We were looking for somewhere for lunch and were glad we spotted this place. Great toasted sandwich (like a cooked breakfast in a toastie!) and an interesting range of beers too. Nice, friendly atmosphere. Don't miss the brownies... They are amazing.

Went in with my extremely grumpy young daughter (teething and feeling under the weather isn’t much fun). The staff were fantastic in welcoming us and helping to put a smile back on both our faces. Fossgate Social offer a good range of beers as well as good coffee and the food is really tasty. All set in a cosy environment. A huge thank you to the staff for their help, patience and understanding.

Terrible and expensive for what it is. There are so many nice friendly bars in York, I honestly don't see any appeal here. Smells and the floor and my table were dirty (which alone gives it one star. This is basic hygiene!). This is not cool or trendy, and certainly is not social, there was zero atmosphere and certainly nobody was being social to one another. I won't return, and put me off ever going near Fossgate again.
