Coffee is always excellent. Food is fantastic. And cheerful staff too. My only slight unhappiness is the seats availability. The number of times I went in on my own, placed orders over the counter, then be asked where I would like to sit, the table that was supposed to be available, was gone by then. Only because people who come in later but with company, could take the seat whilst the other person queued behind me. The staff don't seem willing to do anything about such arrangements. Space is limited in York. I don't really want to be queuing for purchase of food, only to be left without a seat.

What a quaint little cafe. We went here on a Friday afternoon and it was packed to the brim. Every dish that came out looked fab and our sandwich hit the spot for our lunch time craving. Staff here are friendly, but do need to pay a bit more attention to the origins of the beans they're serving. The girl just grabbed the jars as she had no idea Definitely grab some food and save room for cake :)

Still wonderful. Old-timer here and Spring is still as good as it was when it opened. The coffee is fantastic with Square Mile Red Brick beans and the freshly made cakes are delicious. Busy? Yes, but that shows how good it is. Glad there's no WiFi - it means people talk to each other more 😊

This is a really lovely cafe. They have a really nice menu that they serve food from all day. They also have a large variety of cakes that are all delicious! They have a really nice coffee blend that you can also buy in store. They also have a great selection of teas.

Doesn't matter which Spring Espresso you visit as both places serve perfect coffee and staff are always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended if you never tried before
