Really nice food. Location lovely. Did take a while to order at the bar, but it was a busy day and the staff was lovely. Food was brought out within 5-10 minutes.

Really friendly country pub with great home cooked food. Generous portions. Very pleasant place to spend a few hours.

Lovely old pub, a short walk away from the river. Food was ok but pricey, disappointing that on a roasting hot day, only half the tables in the garden had parasols. Ordering was a protracted affair, with separate queues for drinks and food, I did however manage to get drinks with my food order but this probably isn't the norm. To be fair it was pretty rammed due to the weather and maybe their dual queue approach works normally.

Popped in for a mid-walk lunch. Excellent homemade rabbit pie and landlord happy to exchange chips and peas for pots and fresh vegetables. Very tasty and packed with meat not the usual thich gravy gloop others serve.and for just a tenner. My wife's game pie just as good too. Recommended.

Good food, had the steak and kidney pudding. Good pint of Brakspears Heaps of ambiance, mounted fish, deer's heads and stuffed weasels etc, Biggest fire I've ever seen in a pub. Comfortable. Staff did the business... Highly recommended
