Just popped into the Flitch of Bacon to have a look as never been there. New Landlord Tim, made us very welcome. Showed us all round. What a lovely job he's made of doing it all up. We'll definitely be going there to eat soon. Good luck Tim.

Lovely food. Nouvelle cuisine style. If you fancy a more filling dish order the roast on Sunday. Also host some famous chef from time to time for degustation dinner. Great night out between friends.

Chef Tim Allan's food is stunning and with outstanding service and attention to detail this is easily the best place to eat in Essex and the fact they have rooms is a bonus and another good excuse to enjoy many of them lovely wines - 5* highly recommend
