I went out for lunch with my sister in law before we took the kids to soft play and wow! We will definitely be going back food was amazing!! The chefs where very understanding and helpful with my food i have a couple of intolerances and there where very helpful letting me have vegan cheese on my burger so I didn't miss out and my sister in law loved her roast kids all enjoyed there food aswell every member of staff went above and beyond to make sure we where happy we will be heading back very soon!

We stayed here recently while attending a funeral and couldn’t have asked for a more thoughtful, welcoming place. The staff were genuinely lovely and so considerate, which meant a great deal during a difficult time. The rooms were comfortable and well kept, and the pub downstairs with its lovely open fire was a real comfort. We’ll definitely be back under happier circumstances. See you again soon.

The staff were very welcoming and accomodating with our breakfast requirements. Our room was very nice with lovely added finishes, complimented, with a  comfortable bed. The room was replenished daily. The hotel is located in a quiet town centre. It definitely deserves a second visit.

Had lunch today. Booked online for 14:45. Arrived a little early and let a member of wait staff know we had a booking, To which they pulled a face of confusion. They checked a sheet of paper and said ‘we would need to order quick as the kitchen closes in a couple of minutes’ not the best startnnWe laughed it off sat down and ordered lambs liver and the pie of the day plus a couple of cokes. Food arrived within 6/7 minutes. Already that rings alarm bells. Pie filling of chicken bacon and onion, extremely dry, bacon I couldn’t taste, gravy was like water with no seasoning or flavour. Chips not seasoned and veg cold and like bullets. Lambs liver dry and tough same complaints on the gravy and the veg.nnWe were asked if we wanted coffee to finish. No offer of desserts. Felt pointless to complain seeing as the kitchen had closed and we would have had. No hope of replacement food. We paid and left no one said goodbyennWon’t be returning.nnThe place could also do with a really good clean. And the indoor chairs with burn holes in should really be moved out of the courtyard and into a skip.

What sets the Saracen's Head apart from many other hotels, is the very personalised attention to detail. You walk into a warm room, with soft music playing in the background [which you can switch off]; you immediately feel relaxed. Fresh bottled water by the bed, a personal message from a member of staff, and a variety of teas, and a coffee machine, add to a feeling of comfort. Rooms are generous in size and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.... not to mention the wonderfully comfortable bed, with a choice of hard or soft pillows.
