You go in for a quiet pint and a chat with locals/regulars and you might get a smile or a blank look from staff. Amazed that they don’t know what a cider and black is. Unprofessional behaviour and waiting time at the bar could be better if staff put their cigarettes down
We held the wake for my husband's funeral here today 13 Dec 22 and it was excellent. The staff were most helpful and efficient, the food was excellent and everything ran like clockwork.
Booked just over 24 hours before the reservation yesterday afternoon, the man that answered the phone didn't even listen from the get go. I asked to reserve a table of 2 for tomorrow tonight now he said fully booked tonight sorry so I corrected him and explained I was looking for the next night he said oh ok yes that booked in. Thought all was well until I arrive at the restaurant to find out that the man on the phone booked us in at the wrong time and the restaurant was not even open tonight and that I had to eat elsewhere. Absolute disgrace which has meant that instead of a hot meal that I had anticipated I had to settle for cold expensive petrol stop food as I did not have time to arrange anything else before the show I was due to see. Not 1 staff member thought to inform us the restaurant was closed in the 24 hours the booking was made! Staff offered no form of compensation or alternative solution. WILL NOT BE RETURNING! DISGUSTING TREATMENT.
Poped in before a show. Very very busy but staff were great. Ordered a burger and chips which despite the busyness of the place turned up very quickly and was of great quality. Would definitely recommend .
Good wholesome food at a reasonable price and definitely great service from the staff. Would definitely recommend it as the place to go for pre-theatre dinner

Run by inexperienced staff, service not great ,lack of keeping a orderly pub. Shame could be a nice place with a manager on the premises
Nice local pub in the Cresset centre. Mostly local clients, I would guess. Easily missed but well worth a visit.
This place is so friendly and the food is great and plentiful
