"Spend time with us for great pub food in a place you'll love. We serve classic dishes with a modern twist - it's the perfect place to get together with familly and friends. The Paul Pry is named after a local man thought to have been spying through the windows on the house. Today, you'll find none of that cheeky behaviour - just good old fashioned warm hospitality and delicious pub food. Between them, our Deputy General Manager, Kitchen Manager, Breakfast Team Leader and Head Chef have racked up nearly 100 years service at the Paul Pry, so you're sure to be looked after here! Plus, if you're visiting Burghley House, Sacre Farm or Peterborough Cathedral, we're just a stone's throw away."

Went for a friend's birthday. This had to be one of the worst meals out ever. How this place is still open. Salad was wilted, friend asked for a slice of bloomer with hers and got cheap sliced bread. The carrot wasn't the thin slices, but dried out batons. For dessert one friend had jam roly poly. It was like a brick, the custard was more a thick skin and inedible. I would never recommend to anyone.
Went for breakfast at the Paul pry, breakfast was lovely and cooked to how you like it , there was s really good selection of breads and pastry, crumpets and pancakes, lots of little jams , coffees and tea, fresh fruits yoghurt and juices. Staff , particularly mark was very helpful we shall definitely be coming back again.Food: 4/5
We have now visited the Paul Pry on a number of occasions over the past few months. The weekday value menu has become a favourite of ours. 2 large dishes from a fantastic selection for only £9.49. Between us we have worked through most dishes during our visits, each time the quality has been outstanding. I particularly recommend the gammon, smothered chicken or haddock and chips. Each of these have been some of the best examples I have had in any restaurant, usually at a significantly higher price. As well as the great prices and even greater food, I would like to mention the delightfully helpful and friendly members of staff who have served us. Each visit we have met with different staff members, all offering some of the best customer service we have experienced. I do not write many reviews but I felt compelled to after another fantastic experience today at lunchtime. Keep up the good work.
Had an early Christmas dinner here 2 courses for £15:95 was well worth the money....added sides as well and yummy dessert....can safely say stuffed by the time finished eating...service was great...very friendly staff indeed. If I visit Peterborough again defo be backFood: 5/5
Waiters/waitresses and bar staff were great but the food took forever to come and wasn't even busy. Took around 2 hours in total to get our mains and then deserts and the food was rancid literally ate it because it took so long to come it was too late to go somewhere else! Avoid the cheese and potato pie especially, unless you're a huge fan of pepper because that's all you will taste! The mash potato tastes like it came out of a packet too and the apple pie type desert was soggy and sloppy etc it's a real shame because the front of staff were lovely and I bet they get so many people having a go and the menu actually looked really good thus the only reason I give 2 stars. Our first and last visit for sure
Server was great, was there celebrating two birthdays. Gave both birthday people a box of chocolates each. Food was cooked to how we asked as we all had steaks. Definitely will be back againFood: 5/5
Restaurant attachedsort of to Premier Inn North Peterborough. Had evening meal and breakfast here. Service varies depending on time of visit. Usual pub fair so nothing too exciting. Staff struggle to know difference between lager and beer ale. Breakfast a bit hit and miss, continental is serve yourself including juice, tea and coffee. Need to order cooked breakfast which was fine without being spectacular. Eggs overcooked. Gent's toilet needs some TLC. Cubicle door lock loose and needs handle on inside. However, good price for 2 meals, overnight stay and breakfast.
Booked a table for 4 on the 21 November for Saturday the 3rd of December 19.00. We turned up to be shown to a table with people sitting there, now when I say table ,I mean 4 stools around a table 3 foot square right in the middle of the busy pub with no other diners around us, I thought it was some kind of joke!!! When we asked if we could sit in the restaurant area we were told they were fully booked obviously they all must have booked before 21November! No option but to leave and go elsewhere, shame because the menu looked good and we where looking forward to it , the bloke who showed us to our STOOLS did apologise, so the one star given doesn’t reflect on food we didn’t have.
My wife and I enjoyed a warm welcome and tasty, value for money meal as part of the Pie Night. Service was prompt, professional and friendly – and the quality of the food was excellent. We will visit again soon.
I had a mix grill ,steak ,gaming, chicken sausage ,eggs, chips ,tomatoes and veg and it was a fantastic meal
