Pleasant staff. Pleasant surroundings. Good food. Must be really lovely in the daytime as the situation is beautiful and can sit, drink and eat, outside.

Lovely place, lovely hosts, lovely food!! The room with the bridge's view was so nice, we found every comfort that we needed and the travel cot fitted perfectly in this good size room. Listening to the sound of the river was just magic. The room and the place were spotless! We enjoyed every single moment and effort Michelle and the staff put to make our wedding days awesome! All the guests enjoyed breakfast and dinner, the menu presents a satisfying choice and the food was really good. Big thanks to all the staff, looking forward to see you again soon. 10/10 :-)

Room very small and quite cold. Bar had 2 fires but only 1 lit each night. Old building, lovely spot by the river. Food good, staff very polite.

Attending a wedding reception at nearby Langley Castle. Fantastic location. Paid £86, booking direct. Although smallish, the room (2) was adequately furnished and similar to comparable Inns. The TV box could have done with being on a shelf, as the control didn't work too well from the bed, having to be pointed at floor level. Drinks priced well, and a good range, nice selection of gin flavours (a testament to the owners favourite tipple). Public areas clean and well maintained. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is the usual - fruit, cereal and yoghurt with the added bonus of hot pastries. Followed by a choice of cooked breakfast, I opted for a 'full Northumbrian' which was adequate, although I would have liked more than one sausage (which I'm sure I would have got had I asked). I would choose to stop here again.
