Sat at back by the toilets, not anything special. Food just average, ladies toilets smelt really fusty and my son described the mens toilets as "grim". Staff were attentive though. However, there are better places to eat in Newport for the same/less money. Won't be rushing back.
Great pub, like a tardis, looks tiny from the road but stretches back to a beer garden and play area. Dog friendly, food was good value and staff friendly.
Really lovely pub, delicious food; the toilets are very clean. It looks small from the outside but very large inside. I would defiantly be returning.
Went this evening all staff very helpful, clean everywhere. The food was served in good time and was cooked just right. Looking forward to going back again soon.

Visited Friday evening. Myself and my girlfriend were greeted by a very friendly young chap whose service was excellent. We selected two meals, a salad and fish and chips, both were excellent. We would thoroughly recommend and hope to return soon when we next visit the island.
We have been visiting the Isle of wight on and off for over 20 years and the eight bells has always been a favourite of ours and it just keeps getting better. Good quality food, friendly staff and affordable. A real must for any lunch or diner.
Great little pub. Excellent for kids as there is an excellent kids menu and play facilities in the pub garden. The puddings are superb.
Very Covid safe, table service very efficient and food gorgeous as usual.
