Story

Being the oldest pub in Newport, The Castle Inn was first licensed in 1550. After a fire, it was rebuilt in 1684 and as a result of the fire its haunting reputation has The castle known for both its history and spooky goings on!

Beautiful pub with a lovely character to it. Stayed overnight and ate sunday lunch there which was amazing. Our room was a lovely size and spotlessly clean and the breakfast was beautiful. Glyn the owner was very friendly and helpful. Would 100% recommend staying here if visiting Newport.
