Truly a fantastic experience all round. Group of 5 of us each loved our meals. Service was so fast - cannot believe how quickly each meal was brought out considering how full the restaurant was. We dined in the Club Room which was lush. We then finished up with some espresso martinis in the main bar room - which is beautifully decorated! Will definitely be returning next time I am in Edinburgh :)

Visited this venue with a friend recently on day trip to the area. I'd give it a perfect score. A good venue to visit with friends or family for a quiet drink or full meal, in a beautiful art decor environment, with lavish fixtures and fittings which are in a very high state of repair. Food served I would describe as typical 5 star cuisine with a good section of wines to accompany. Staff are very highly trained and attentive to detail and service. This is a smart casual place, and not suited for those who may be eating or drinking on a budget. It would be ideal for that "special" meal or drinks with friends, and I highly recommend.

Stunning venue, efficient and friendly service, good food and not too pricey. We were seated within a couple of minutes in the main bar, with full view of the glass dome. The room is very well appointed and the large mirrors allow the beauty to be appreciated from many vantage points. We ordered a couple of glasses of Champagne which arrived again within minutes. We were there for a light lunch so ordered a couple of sandwiches, which quickly arrived and were very generous, moist, made with excellent produce and tasted delicious. In summary, a wonderful interlude in the middle of the day, a light Champagne lunch in beautiful surroundings and all for under £40. Definitely recommended.

Ate in the public dining soon at the side. Wouldn't recommend for food or drink. Rating 3 stars because it was decorated nicely, the waiter in the public bar at the front was very professional and the concierge was very efficient and pleasant to talk to. Upstairs and the back room looked much better in terms of quality though, we simply didn't book in advance.

Lovely setting, staff are welcoming and helpful. Went out of their way To Help with the 8 month old that was with our party. Food is good. Decorations during Christmas are an attraction for many.
