Visited the dome with partner, booked 1 month in advance as booking extremely busy.nAbsolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Building is absolutely beautiful, with the Xmas decorations, we were shown to our table straight away no hanging around.nTable service was fantastic Craig was our main waiter, water brought over straight away whilst we studied the menu.nFood was simply delicious and no delays from starters to mains.nWould highly recommend and we're definitely coming back next year, but booking further in advance.nBest experience I've ever had from a restaurant..
We booked this restaurant atleast a 3 weeks ahead as we knew it was a popular restaurant. Inside was stunning as already decked for Christmas with a large tree in the middle of the Grill restaurant note there are different rooms for different servings. Just the restaurant ambience was enough to feed the eyes. Service was also spot on. All very friendly and one even offered to help us take pictures and gave us a bit of history on building while we waited for a seat.nnAs for the food, my children had fish and chips which was very crispy, light and fluffy. Unfortunately, my dish was a let down. I chose the honey glazed fish. It came with a saucier so I thought i was pouring extra honey and balsamic glaze to my fish. It turned out that I drenched my fish with what tasted like sesame oil and a little soya sauce. It's a shame as it was not mentioned on the menu so I thought the honey would be a nice topping. The fish was nicely cooked and the potato was tasty. I am just gutted that it felt like I was eating grease on fish and potatoes. We also ordered oysters, steak and a festive main. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal but me.
I visited The Dome in Edinburgh with my girlfriend for a lovely date. We had made a reservation in advance £10 per person and even selected our food and drinks beforehand through their website. However, once we arrived, we were asked again about our choices, which made it feel as though the online pre-selection wasn’t really necessary.nnThat aside, the venue itself is absolutely stunning. The dome ceiling with its beautiful lighting creates a truly magical atmosphere. It feels both elegant and versatile – suitable for casual dining as well as more formal occasions with a dress code. From the entrance onward, everything was impressive and well-organized. We were greeted politely at the door, our reservation was checked, and we were seated promptly.nnThe food quality was excellent, and the overall service was very attentive. In fact, the staff were perhaps a little too attentive at times – frequently checking in on us while we were eating. While it might have been slightly overwhelming, their kindness and professionalism were undeniable.nnOverall, it was a wonderful experience. Great food, beautiful ambiance, and very polite staff. It’s a place that definitely leaves a lasting impression and is well worth visiting in Edinburgh
We were recommended to come to the Club Room for brunch and it was amazing. The food was good but the ambience is great. Beautiful rooms, fabulous decor and a real sense of history. We were looked after Yash, who was really helpful and pleasant. I went for the Scottish breakfast but no black pudding and my wife went for the superbowl much healthier. The food was delicious and we finished with a breakfast scone with coffee. Overall a really lovely experience. Need to come back for dinner next time.
We had so much fun at the Georgian Tea Room. Staff was so friendly and on top of everything. We had a special substitution for an allergy that did not hinder our experience and was handled well. It’s much more food than i expected so, come with an appetite if you plan on getting your own servings. The tea was immaculate. I’ve never had such a beautiful mint tea. Clean bathrooms, beautiful beautiful spaces. A must do in Edinburgh! The coronation chicken sandwich was to die for and i’ll never forget it. We didn’t have a reservation and they were able to find us a spot and sit us down quite quickly! I would recommend making a reservation though! It gets quite busy and is quite the popular spot.
