Easily my favourite place in Edinburgh. Come in the door and sharp left for best pub seat in town, sharp right if you want to be more social. Beers available good. Whisky for tourists I think.

Brilliant real ale and craft beer bar with knowledgeable staff that will help you pick a beer and whiskey to suit your taste! Plus...friendly locals and out-of-towners who can mix together and have a great time! Awesome!!! :)

Best place for a beer and a whisky in the heart of the city. Staff are all delightful and willing to help choose from their extensive range. Lovely warm.fite adds to the quaintness and this inviting pub goes above and beyond in the practice of keeping their cask ale lines well maintained.

The Bow Bar has been around for over 30 years. Serving an extensive range of ale and over 300 whiskeys. There are eight air dispensing fonts with a regularly changing selection of ales. They have regular festivals and brewery takeovers. The bar can get busy in the evenings, as the bar staff care about what they are serving they don't rush people into deciding, this can lead to a little wait to be served. At lunchtimes there is a range of warm pies available. The bar has a no under 18, no sports colours and no stag/hen party policy.

Great bar with a warm atmosphere. Excellent selection of whisky - in particular have multiple malts of the month so you can try a few different ones without spending too much money. Visited on a Friday night in December and was busy but service was still very good.
