Comfortable, friendly, not specially cheap pub. Attracts a nice crowd, and busy when I've been there (which has, oddly, mostly been on Sunday afternoons). Good selection of beers, and food, and coffee. Interesting art for sale.

A gay pub with a lovely, straight-friendly, dog-friendly, human-friendly atmosphere. Nice music, good real ales and cask cider, and a decent menu with lots of vegetarian options (the best vegetarian haggis!). Our first time here, definitely won't be our last... Highly recommended

The space is cozy and inviting, but the staff could’ve been anything less. Most seemed seemed to be younger students without a care to who their clientele were. As this is listed as a gay pub, and one that continually pops up on lists for gay bars in Edinburgh, it is sad to see that there seems to be no representation of gay identities within the walls or staff of this establishment. If you want a cozy couch to sit on, this place is great. But if you’re looking for a friendly bar that is welcoming to both the LGBTQ and foreigner communities, this might not be the place to go.

A Great, relaxed place to go if you like your gay bars a little less glittery. Relaxed atmosphere and great staff. Good prices and dog friendly. A go to staple!

Awesome place. Super friendly. Great guest ales. Dog friendly so even more awesome. Very welcoming. Good veggie food options and cooked in the kitchen.
