I tried the vegan Mac n cheese full dinner portion and my bf tried a burger + sweet potato fries. The food was amazing and we sat by the window. My only hesitation and lack of full 5 stars is because we loved it so much we went back to get the same meal to go one night and when we brought it home the food was no where close to the same. We recommend eating in and not doing late night take away to really get the great meal. I put up the good photos because we loved our first experience and put the bad one up to an off day by the staff.
One of the best brunch places for vegans/ vegetarians! So I’m a normal student who loves to save a penny when I’m out and about grabbing lunch with my friends. I’m not too fussy when it comes to Dietary restrictions however, my friends are vegan and vegetarian and you have no idea how happy they were when they saw the “vegan/ vegetarian friendly menu” - usually they have to hunt down the v or vv in tiny print next to each dish and sometimes they can only choose one option out of 8 possible variations like pancakes - usually there’s only one vegan version “displayed” either way, as a three we had: vegan banoffee pancakes, - literally some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had they’re actually tastier than the standard pancakes - in my humble opinion the vegetarian English breakfast - with scrambled eggs, vegan sausage and all that good stuff one of the vegan burgers - which was amazing as far as my long-term vegan friend was concerned the only thing she had a bit of an issue with was the chillies in guacamole as she did not expect them to be there she isn’t great at “dealing with the heat” but after having them removed she said she thoroughly enjoyed the burger! The diner freak chicken - which was so tender and delicious with its spicy sauce I’m not too fussed by spice and the sauce is really enjoyable And some vegan chips to share - which were abundant, crispy and delicious. The service was also amazing and they don’t charge extra for milk substitutes. Highly highly recommend this place to students, vegans, vegetarians and generally just people who want to enjoy good food in a Diner environment.
I went to this place yesterday for brunch. Me and my friend had this 10.05£ breakfast meal i have to admit it was very good and also in large quantity; I barely managed to finish my meal. The service was good and the employees very nice. The location is very enjoyable and we spent quite some time there. Recommend to try it if you didn't yet.
We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for a drink. Slightly retro, casual American diner ambience, with red seat booths perfect for groups of 4-6 people. We only had drinks, ordering milkshakes, cider and a Tom Collins - all good. The service was friendly, although a little slow at times.
Food was amazing and I was given a very big portion size. I had Rack of rins, chips & Slaw and my husband had two burgers & chips. Drinks was lovely. Staff were very friendly. I will definitely be back
Comforting food, always love their sweet potato fries. And happy to see the vegetarian menu to adopt different dietary. Pancakes are generous portion and tasty. Service could be slightly better.
A really great diner that reminds me of America. Their pancakes are great! Loved the chicken as well and all at great prices with friendly service. Didnt get to try their milkshakes but they looked amazing! Would definitely recommend to try when you're around
Breakfast was meh. My partner ordered the lumber jack breakfast and when I asked how his food was, his response: “how do you screw up pancakes?” Lol. I ordered the breakfast burrito with a side of tater tots and was really quite disappointed. The breakfast burrito must have been pre made hours before then reheated because it was barely lukewarm when I started to eat it. The eggs were not even remotely hot, nor was the chorizo and the other fillings. And the tater tots. those are like the easiest. Throw them in the fryer for a couple minutes, let them drain and cool off and enjoy. Half my tots were warm, the other half must have been previously fried then mixed in with the hot ones. Each tot was a guessing game if it was warm or not. Definitely not going back.
I came here before a concert. Really nice food and very filling. I was very happy that they offered a huge variety. My motivation of dishes came from the guys opposite us. Overall, delicious if you like your dirty sticky wings and great service. I don’t think I can fault much at all.
Service is slow though. Pancake is average. Poached egg wasn't too bad. Nice coffee. Another plus: serving size.
