Very very tasty sandwich. Excellent sized portion, so much so that I could have actually shared a full sub and chips rather than struggle myself. I really liked that the cheese sauce was clearly made from real cheese. It really was an authentic sandwich. My only advice would be that due to the busy nature of the of the stall and the queues it is easy to become complacent with hygiene practices. There was a minor mix up with my sandwich and the staff member taking the orders and cash ended up making it instead of the chefs. Now they were also handling the money and did not wash their hands before. Usually this would be a big turn off to me however I had noticed them washing their hands at other times so that could just have been a slip of the mind. We are all human after all! I have seen worse in major chains. Take it as a reminder and not a complaint. I still really enjoyed it. Keep up the good work!
Just had the cheesesteak delivered by Jinn, high expectations dashed! Paid £8 for the sub itself which was tasty, but cold, and a further £3 for fries, which were just terrible! Also received the wrong drink! All in all a real let down. 2 stars as the cheesesteak itself was tasty, just cold. -Gotta hand it to the customer service team over at Liberty, I have been contacted several times regards my review and I am happy to say I will be popping down to see them in person to try their cheese steak! Nice people, and like I previously stated, it was good food just cold, which was due to delivery delay!
The baguette was very soggy, there was little cheese in it and its colour was closer to grey than yellow. The taste of the meat was not bad and the portion whole is good enough for lunch. The deal breaker here is the price: £9 for the whole thing is way too much. the prices on their website are outdated, still says £8... there are way better options for lunch out there.
Was so looking forward to my visit but overall I must say I was pretty disappointed. I found the meat tasteless and went cold very quickly. The wiz cheese was nothing special especially on the chips when I found it a bit too sickly. Service was fantastic though. Did £8 represent VFM? No I don't think so.
Authentic Cheesesteaks as good as you'll get in Philly. This is not fake Americana it's the real deal. They are prepared and cooked exactly as you'd get them in any of the best steak joints in Philadelphia. Great tasting ribeye steak chopped down and flash fried with delicious cheese in their own baked soft hoagie rolls. By far and away the best sandwich I've ever had in London. Keep up the good work guys!
Without a doubt the Liberty Cheesesteak Company is bringing an authentic taste of the streets of Philadelphia to the streets of London. Do not pass go, do not collect $200, go directly to Liberty Cheesesteak and experience the bliss of this delicious sandwich. Accept no imitations and treat yourself to the best sandwich in London!!
Delicious! The best and most authentic Philly Cheesesteak around. Go for the footlong wit' onions. Top taste, filling and the staff are friendly. Nicely positioned too - not crammed in the hustle of the market but just to the side.
My dog produces better 'log rolls' than this, especially the aged grey ones. Cheese tastes like rubber, the "steak" is poor and it's all delivered in a basic bread roll. Mind blown. Let's not mention that the staff can't mange a handful of orders at lunch. They look miserable, act miserable and can't cope.
These are hands down the best you will ever have. Is great that you can see the process of making the cheesesteak right in front of you, the meat is cooked to perfection, and the wiz is amazing. I keep going back, because is simply the best there is, you cannot find better in London, and believe me, i have tried!.
Stumbled across this by accident at their Moorgate location. Born and raised in PA and having lived in UK for over 20 years, I can't tell you what a fantastic treat this was. Rolls spot on..quality cheese steak and first time in UK that it has been the real deal! Loved it! Even had a cream soda! Only suggestion would be add sauce to your repotoire!
