Wasn't a bad dinner but wish they had better dessert choices!! Good service. Decor needs updating.Food: 4/5
A very pleasant surprise! We just happened upon this restaurant by chance and we will definitely be back the next time we are in London. Excellent meal specials, the food was tasty and the rice pudding was perfect. Very attentive staff as well. Thank you for a wonderful mealFood: 5/5
Went with my fiancé at about 11. He got the bacon cheeseburger, I got the liver and onions. The portions were very generous for the price! Mine came with a soup and salad which were both lovely. Sherry was our server and was very informative and accommodating. The diner itself is also super cozy and buzzing with people. We'll definitely be back.
Overall not. Great experience. Went in told to seat ourselves. No worries there. But took almost 10 minutes before getting a menu. Place was dirty. Vents had dust hanging off them, ceiling tiles falling apart. Just not the cleanest. Still decided to stay and try the food. The food was mediocre. Nothing great. Eggs were warm. Bacon extremely crispy but not hot. Toast was soggy. Didn't complain because the waitress under charged us as well. Will not be going back or recommended this place to anyone.
Had meals here in the 80's and 90's. Great burger and Food: 4/5
We must have passed by this place a thousand times since we moved to London 6 years ago. Finally paid a visit this weekend when we felt extra nostalgic before a trip to Zellers and we are so glad we did. The food and even the soda tasted just like way back when, extra fuzzy to be exact, not like the flat ones they serve at the fast food chain. The waitress who served us, although seemingly tired from a long morning, is very attentive and helpful. Be sure to check this out if you are in the mood for something just like it was back in the old days.
This place is great. Service is always fast and friendly, prices are very fair and affordable. Breakfast and lunch menus have a good selection and food is always yummy. I love the atmosphere and knowing this is still a small business, mom and pop. I was in on a Saturday morning and thought it was adorable to see seniors coming in to hang out, seemed like everyone knew everyone in there. It’s honestly so charming, the character in there is as if time stopped and rewinded to a simple time, where these high inflation costs haven’t hit and you leave your worries at the door. My fav is their signature cherry creme pies! Don’t forget your slice! Definitely can’t be disappointed and would really appreciate if more people supported what’s left of our small businesses. Enjoy!
After literally the third time with hair in my food, it’s hard to go back! I actually like the food and prices, it’s unfortunate! Literally three times I watched my wife eat her meal, while they remade my plate, not even a 10% off or anything, after 3 times? After three times, I almost felt it was on purpose? I’ve eaten out likely over a thousand times, and it’s only happened to me once otherwise? Like I said, unfortunate because I liked it otherwise, but almost feel like it must be on purpose???? Pretty weird.
I'm really quite sad. I've been coming here as long as I can remember, it's our favorite, diner around. Today's experience sucked. The place was fairly quiet yet our waitress took ages to do anything. Got our orders wrong, fries were trash. Our experience took an hour and a half, most of which was just waiting and waiting and waiting. Super bummed. Gonna miss our hole in the wall so much!
I gave the food two stars only because the eggs, fries and toast were satisfactory. The steak was disgustingly horrible! Service and first impression was very poor. As a person of color I felt very unwelcome in the restaurant, solely because of the treatment of one person. The older woman at the cashier wearing a burgundy blouse on June 29/24, is very very unpleasant with horrendous display of cavities. When I went in the restaurant, she did not even look at me. I told her I need a table for one and she responded, “sit where you wanted!” Another lady came to serve me, she was pleasant and she served the food. She appeared tired but created a better impression than the lady in the burgundy blouse. The tea container was broken spilling the tea all over the table, I was able to work with it and did not complain. I was the only person of colour in the restaurant when I was dining. I ate the food and left but regretted eating at this place. There is a KFC across from the restaurant, you are better off going there or patronize other restaurants in the area instead of this place. I sincerely wish I would get back a full refund. It was my first time at this restaurant and the experience was not a good one. I didn’t tip the waitress not because she didn’t deserve it but because of the overall experience. I hope the manager give her a raise for being pleasant after seeing this review.
