Let's start a concise summary of Cafe Milano and work back from there: Nice caff, slightly grumpy yet very efficient staff. If you're not somebody for idle chit-chat around your all day breakfast, then this cafe will suit you just fine. As as somebody who is usually equally as grumpy when off in search of an all day breakfast, fairly monosyllabic conversations that are limited to repeating my order, definitely suit me just fine. There's nothing worse than an establishment where to staff try to force through some friendly conversation when you and they both know that you'd rather being engaged in something else. Like eating, largely. And, yes, Cafe Milano is fine at avoiding this as well. Breakfast ordered, arrived, eaten, paid for. The food itself does the job, especially if you're after all day breakfasts or a panini. You're never going to find gourmet food or even a memorable sausage although the orange juice squeezed at the counter is particularly good, but the portions are large enough to fill even the hungriest of bellies and, well, the fact I return regularly for a Milano special when nothing but a big fry up will do is probably all you need to know. Food doesn't need to be spectacular to still give plenty of pleasure and the heaving plates combined with brusque efficiency does exactly that. It's the first place I'll head to when nothing but a full English will do.
I came to this local coffee shop for few times and I really love the atmosphere which make me come every now and again! I usually take the full english breakfast and I saw it has increased from 4.95 to 5.95 but it is still worth it as they give tea or coffee included not just a black coffee but a latte or cappuccino too. Staff is good and efficient.. Good place where I like to go and one of the few local cafè left!
The restaurant is quaint with good coffee. The order was mixed up twice. When going to pay we're told it was cash only and my husband had to leave to find cash while our car meter ran out. Not a great experience
Food and coffee is excellent and incredibly good value for money. Staff are were welcoming and friendly. Cash only, card not accepted.
An amazing spot for brunch!
Small and cozy place with a local feel. Good value, but coffee and English breakfast aren't great.
