Not too impressed overall. Cocktails: their version of a negroni, a pepper version was basically bad, pretty thin on flavour. The tasting menu had it's good bits; I really liked the mussels, and the agnolotti was excellent. We had the venison wellington main course which was an additional £15 per person, and wasn't particularly flavorsome. It's also important to note that the £48 tasting menu has an option of three mains, two of which cost an additional £5 per person the wellington was an off menu special. Wine menu was reasonably priced and lots of options. Especially bad however was the atmosphere in the restaurant, it was far too warm to be comfortable in October, and very noisy. The serving staff were unhelpfully vague when asked questions about the menu and give you little confidence in them.
We had the most perfect Sunday brunch.... awesome avocado toast for me and the most perfect pork belly for him.... excellent coffee and delicious cocktails. Best of all, everything was served with warmth, care and a good portion of healthy banter! We have found a new go to local restaurant!!
Enjoyed a very tasty brunch here last weekend. The menu is concise yet interesting. They can make veggie options of the mains which is great. The restaurant overlooks Clapham Common. I would definitely recommend for weekend brunch with your lover or best friend.
Had a beautiful lunch course of £25 for a special occasion. Everything was creative, beautifully presented, and of course, delicious. Rooftop honey added wonderful flavour for the appetizer. Salted caramel, cocoa, and ice cream was one of the best dessert I had. I thought this course was good deal for money. It usually looks busy on weekends but there was a plenty of space for weekday lunch - we even took an infant in a pram, though there was no changing table.
Absolutely brilliant. The food was delicious, with lots of interesting tweaks and tricks that made every dish a fun surprise. We had the tasting menu, which was nicely varied and felt like a real journey. This stuff is clearly made with a ton of skill. The service was warm and friendly; we had a great time. Would definitely go again.
Top marks for The Dairy! We’ve had them on our Restaurant Lust List for years and they didn’t let us down in the slightest. Delicious food and drink that left us wanting to return straight away. The team are awesome and can’t do enough for you without being OTT. An absolute gem, highly recommend.
Nice little place. Our coffees were served in sweet little vintage-looking cups and saucers. The food was good but unfortunately my friends avocado on toast was served in a bowl?! I mean, the bowl was nice but made it extremely challenging to eat the toast! v odd. They host who seated us and took our orders was very good however, the two staff members who served us came across very arrogant and both turned their noses up when we separately asked for ketchup with out chips. They serve chips without any sauces. Again, V odd. Anyway, overall it was nice and I would go back for the toast and coffee.
Always a pleasure dining here, I just love it. Excellent food, well-priced tasting menu and an exceptionally matched series of wine pairings.
Absolutely wonderful. Small, gorgeously presented portions, unique combinations and flavours, fantastic cocktails and polite service. They care. Also, loved my surprise 'Happy Birthday' plate at the end of my birthday dinner. Superb.
Came here on a beautiful Sunday after spending some time in the Common. We were treated to friendly service in the outdoor seating area and ordered the pork belly which came with a fried egg and potatoes. Pork belly was fork tender with just enough bite, wonderfully flavorful with the char and just fatty enough. One of the best pork dishes I’ve had in a long while. The potatoes were cut and stacked. Crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The egg was also fantastic. Simply fried and lightly seasoned but the the freshness of the egg was apparently in the amazing orange glow of the yolk. Almost forgot the side of cabbage which was a welcomed freshness amongst the other heavy components. Finished with a great piccolo and have to say probably one of the best places for brunch south of the river.
