It is a huge supermarket. It has a lot of variety to buy: food, clothing, home, etc... The prices are regular, you can find offers or maybe there are some very expensive items. However, everything could be validated as good quality. You can park for 3 hours for free. The parking lot is huge. Today, it was the fifth visit and I could notice that the queues to pay are huge... So my positive contribution is that Sainsbury's, you should include more staff to serve people because there are many machines but they don't have many cashiers. It would be ideal to take this last comment into account. Thank you!!!
Really nice branch. Good selection across the whole range. The store is kept clean and there is free parking. They seem to have issues with the lifts/escalators on a regular basis, that's my only negative. Best doughnuts around! Your Baker deserves a pat on the back!
Store is good but you cannot get up to it without difficulty. At least 1 Lift has been out of order over a year and the second lift OOO on and off. At one time both lifts and the Up Escalator were all out together. Myself and loads of people could not get into the store. There are never any notices outside the door about the problems so you park but have to go back to your vehicle to go elsewhere!
Great store for me as it never seems overly busy. Doubles up as a collection point for Argos as well as having a cafe. The only letdown is lack of till staff but the self checkout has many points. They need to add a section for large shop self checkout and that would make the store perfect. Huge car park so you'll never have a problem finding parking.
Nice big store with a huge variety of everything to chose from. Plenty of produce in stock. I rated a 3star because most but nit all of their staff appear unfriendly, and if you ask them to help they will do so but without a smile, felt almost begrudgingly that they had to help and that they didn't like being interrupted.
Disappointing experience. The lifts were out of order, when discussing with the entrance security, he told us to use the travelaror, against usage rules instead of using the cargo lift. My partner said she felt like she was going to tip out. Won't be returning to that store in a hurry
I like this store it's big and has all you need even an Argos. Almost got locked in the lift electricity failure, I was truly lucky the door bearly opened for me to get out. One lift is working now
Second visit to this store recently July & August 2022 on a Memory trip to South-East London where our relatives lived locally in the 1950's, 1960's and early 1970's. They would have loved this store which has been open about seven years. It is very well situated close to Abbey Wood Station Elizabeth Line, South Eastern and Thameslink and on the main road towards Thamesmead. Ground floor is a large car park with usual features disabled and parent parking. A Sainsbury's Bank ATM is located on the way into the store. Access to the supermarket at first floor level is via travellators or large lifts. For the energetic, you can use the stairs . Hand baskets and large / small trolleys £1 coin deposit located at store level.First impressions are of a bright, clean, well lit area that is quite welcoming. Sad to note that the Cafe area is now closed and is being repurposed. From the entry method, facing the store gives a very large Tu clothing series of aisles to the right. Next to them is series of aisles with Habitat and homewares. A good range of these. Looking left now is the main shop floor. As is usual, the fruit and vegetable area comes next. Very good and wide range with very good quality. Usual aisles of supermarket fare come next including a big celebratory card and magazines section. Being a larger store, there is a wide range in most product lines including own brand products. At the back of the store there is store produced pizzas and the bakery. Both looked very good quality. Having bought our items we headed for the checkouts. Some checkouts were open and being well used by those with full baskets. There is a very big self scan area which we used. Staff noted as being very friendly and helpful giving a good atmosphere. A great store, but sadly at forty miles from home, not for a regular shop .
It's a big store with a home and clothing section. Good food selection too.
Lovely new Sainsbury's, just outside abbey wood train station. The store is bigger than it looks outside. It sells everything from clothes, home stuff and food. Great staff.
