As a family we very regularly come to eat at the Crown with my mum who is in her 90’s. She is having some hard times and absolutely loves coming to the Crown with the family. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and efficient Thankyou. She enjoys the small meals and we all eat well. Thankyou for such a positive welcoming inclusive atmosphere.
We came in for food and drinks before the football on Saturday. The Guinness was a great pint. We had the wings, garlic bread and crispy chicken sandwich - all of which tasted really fresh, came out quickly and was great value. The service from Ollie was brilliant. We’ll definitely be back.
Great night as always, Shaun is always welcoming and he and his team are really friendly and hardworking. The Crown has improved massively in the last 6 months, tables are cleared and cleaned, staff are polite and happy to serve customers. Shaun has been the first manager in a long time to give the pub stability and reinforce customer service. Would be nice if the place could get a face lift as it is a little tired and has not had any improvements in a very long time unlike most other local establishments. Kid-friendliness: Great menu choices and plenty of places to sit away from the bar area.
Had a lovely family night at the The Crown. Four of us ate and we each had a very good meal considering the price. The fish and chips were particularly good whilst the veggie curry option was tasty and filling. Very nice staff and the beer was good, too. Wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it was. Hats off to the staff!Food: 5/5

Went here this morning with my partner and little one. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, by far one of the best I’ve had at a pub in a long time. Portion was rather large also. Staff amazing and friendly, a very nice pub and can’t wait to returnFood: 5/5
Best experience I’ve had in a long time!! Recently moved into the area and the crown is now our local pub which we can now call our regular visit. Shaun has been so welcoming and helpful, could not ask for better service. Definitely recommend, especially if you have a dog!
Came here for a family meal. When ordering we asked for chilli sauce instead of gravy sauce in the burger. The lady at the bar said that’s fine. When the food arrived, there was gravy sauce in the burger, when questioned about this the waitress said that the chef refused to do it, when we were told that it was possible when ordering. When the chicken hunters schnitzel came it was burnt and clearly had been sat under the heat for a while. The service was appalling and the lady serving had no manners and didn’t even apologise for the issues with the food. Would not recommend to eat here. 100% avoid. Maybe for a drink that’s about it.
Visited The Crown Pub recently and had a mixed experience. While the ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the staff friendly, the service was a bit slow, especially during peak hours. The food was decent, but nothing exceptional, and the menu lacked variety. Additionally, the pricing seemed a bit high for the quality offered. Overall, it's an okay option for a casual outing, but there's room for improvement in terms of service efficiency and menu variety.
A firm favourite for many years. Good drinks and beer. Shame it's not as busy as it used to be. Food is what you expect for Ember Inn and the price range. A good local, would like to see more people use it.Food: 3/5
