Just popped in for a swift half but the place was clean and, considering it was a Monday afternoon, fairly well populated. The staff were plentiful and polite and there was a good range of ales on offer. Some of the furniture was looking a bit tired and perhaps could do with upgrading but that didn't put me off. It wasn't my first visit and neither will it be my last.
Busy at lunchtime on a Sunday. Found it difficult to find a seat for 5. Enjoyed food and drinks with the family. Was there for around 2 hours. Food served quickly and fair sized portions.
A noisy, friendly Saturday night. Ordered on the App. Drink came quickly, food not long after. Chips crisp and fish and scampi well cooked. Explored old haunts after as used to live nearby.
I go here with my nan as she wants to every other Friday after I take her shopping, she swears by the battered cod and chips and will never order anything else. Down side is I am both Gluten intolerant and Vegan so my options for food are very VERY limited and I often leave feeling hungry... And the one tea/coffee machine has been broken about a month so leaves a few people queuing for a drink, I miss real people making it
Food is good and large choice. Staff will alter dishes to your preference. ie. Change how eggs are cooked. Change bacon for sausage. Etc. Can order food on app at your table or if you wish to alter a dish Can order at the bar.
Good location same food as all other spoons pubs . Will go again as it's simple consisten food for a fair price . Only letdown was the amount of flies and fruit flies in there . Had to keep them of the food and drinks . Great atmosphere
Everything was fine until I went to get coffee.. both machine needs coffee grind emptying.. people infrint said already told, was waiting for 5 mins so asked again, person came and went off, came back took bins away, came back was good 20 mins in all for what could be less time and simple empty in to the bin there or tip one into the other bin so one machine back working while emptying the other, food was cold time I got back.. clean tables and plenty of room.
The poshest Wetherspoons we have ever been inside. Norwich is a lovely city and we took a break after sight seeing. It was busy but nice and cosy and clean with excellent staff.
Very good service. BUT: No toilet brush which is absolutely disgusting Rather not add a photo. I lied
We went for drinks and food on Wednesday, 5th April 2023, about 8.25pm. We had 2 rounds of drinks, pleasant lady serving, then for the 3rd round, unfortunately we met very abnoxcious lady. We ordered large bacardi and , and we asked if hthcoke. , and ask if they sold zeros percent beers. She said Heineken, and other one, I said, may be Heineken, let me ask. By that time she hurriedly open the bottle without even giving a chance to decide. So I said he just wants a carling, she abruptly, ignorantly shouted and said you will have to pay for it. As I refused she became very very, lacking customer service experience, and we left without food and drink, their loss of income. She looked as if she was just released from Madame Tusaed, horribly over make up to cover her ugly personality just as the fake face shown behind the counter. Sorry never again.
