My son and I stopped at the Crown to watch the football yesterday on our way to Norwich. We were delighted to be served free food for Burn’s Night which was excellent and found the atmosphere very friendly and welcoming.nnA charming pub and the next opportunity we get we will be back. Thank you for making us both feel so welcome.
Did not have food so can’t comment. I lived in Watton in the late 70’s. The Crown was my local. Was run by Mr and Mrs Fred. Recently stopped by Watton after 40+ years and went into The Crown. I didn’t know what to expect but was surprised at how knocked about the interior was- shouldn’t have been surprised, as it is 40 years. As for the pub, it seemed to be catering to a different crowd now. A little more down market but reasonable enough. Everything was ok but it reminded me…. You can never go back.
First time diner. Food was good. Hot and fresh, I did not leave hungry! Quite slow service for a Tuesday lunch time. Table of 7 but not many other people in the restaurant. Bar lady/waitress was delightful. Will definitely give it another visit!
Nice warm bar on a cold day. Seems to be sports orientated judging from the number of TVs about. Beer was fine. Bar and lounge clean and tidy. Toilets looked refurbished recently.
The Crown is under new management from November 2016. Friendly staff and clientele. The beer is well kept. Open 11am till late. Families and dog's are welcome. The Guinness is excellent. Well worth a visit.
