Stayed for one night. We stayed in the family room which was lovely. Comfy beds and nice sitting area. Breakfast was really tasty lots to choose from. Daughter recommends the pancakes. Staff really friendly and helpful. Had a walk around the grounds considering it was the end if winter they looked well looked after and I'M sure they'll be stunning in the spring/summer.

Had a delicious cream tea here. Staff are friendly, house and grounds delightful. They also have lots of interesting events lined up. We liked the dog agility course on our walk!

Room is small but clean and comfortable. On looking round there were 2 packets of biscuits with the drinks . And one pack was opened with a biscuit missing!! Worst nights sleep ever had in a hotel. Was in the court yard ,paper thin walls could hear everything in adjoining rooms, heating was up full even though we turned off radiator, had to open window to let in cold air through the night . The grounds looked ok but walking round needed a lot of repair to the stone walls etc. Needs a good gardener. However we went to the ABBA tribute night which was very good, the meal was lovely. The hotel itself was grand, very well decorated, other residents said rooms in the house were lovely.

Stunning venue. Absolutely beautiful. Great drinks and a would be great wedding reception venue. Would be interested in trying their afternoon teas as well.

We went to a shared Christmas party night on 16 December. The waiting staff did a great job in eventually getting all the food out. We had three tables of 8 places booked and one of our tables was finishing mains while the other was on starters. I had to speak to the head waiter to track down my desert after I had been overlooked. The night was overbooked by at least 10 tables, it was so crowded that although the dance floor was full, two thirds of the people were still sat down, there is no way everybody could have got on the dance floor even if they wanted to. The 80s band weren't brilliant, but people mainly got into the spirit of the night and there were some great 80s costumes being worn. We made a point of enjoying the night, but I did hear plenty of comments about how overcrowded it was and how long the food took to come out. The hard working staff saved the night from being a disaster. I wouldn't be inclined to go again unless the tables numbers are greatly reduced.
