This hotel offers excellent value for money and is a great choice for budget-conscious travellers. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything needed for a pleasant stay without unnecessary extras that drive up the price. For the cost, the quality exceeded expectations - hence the 5 star.nnThe staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. The location was convenient, making it easy to get around and explore the area while still keeping expenses low.nnIf you’re looking for an affordable place that doesn’t compromise on cleanliness, comfort, or service then this hotel is a fantastic option. Highly recommended for anyone wanting great value on a budget.
Stayed here for one night recently en route. Most of the newest reviews for this hotel don't appear to relate to this business which is in a small town in rural Norfolk. Owner was friendly and helpful, with limited English spoken. Rooms are basic, but clean. Small en suite shower room. I was very surprised to see a sticker over the sink stating water was not for drinking. Not clear why this was, no bottled water was offered. Kettle and small amount of tea and coffee provided. No hairdryer which was listed in amenities, but didn't need it anyway. There was a TV. Stairs are quite steep and there is no lift. No provision for meals of any kind, but shops 10 mins walk away. Fine for a stop over but it is very basic.
BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!nOld reviews are completely irrelevant, newer can only be fake. The place is semi-derelict, no staff, disconnected phone, no facilities and SCARY.nWe booked two nights here recently with a Red Letter Days gift voucher now lostnOn arrival we saw a carpark with heaps of rubbish and building debris, overgrown hedges and we could just see through a broken down fence into a totally dilapidated and shambolic conservatory/dining area.nA non-English speaking gentleman came out to ask what we wanted and when told that we had booked a room we had no intention of even stepping inside he went inside and locked the door behind him.nCheck Trip Advisor etc.
I hate writing a negative review and perhaps my expectations were higher than they should have been but Deluxe Double Room was the title and Deluxe Double Room is a stretch.nnThe room was roasting when I got in and both main room and bathroom radiators making constant clicking and popping noises. Switched one off and had to ignore the other through the night.nnWhilst equipped with a sink and tea making things the water wasn't drinking water so had to pop to the local supermarket for a bottle of water.nnThen there's just the details - spare pillow on the wardrobe was stained, shower tray leaked, no chair for the side table which I'd hoped to do a couple of hours work from. Just fell short on expectations. But it was pretty cheap to be fair.nnPut it down to poor planning on my part but lesson learned.
As other reviewers may have stated, the rooms are dated. However it was great value, the rooms are quiet, the staff are really friendly and helpful. As soon as we said we'd be leaving before breakfast we offered a packet lunch instead.nAlso had s meal in the bar, good portions, nothing fancy simply a nice meal.nI'd stay here again
