We are an award winning restaurant with guest rooms set in the lovely Aycliffe village.

Story

At The County we pride ourselves in our fantastic reputation for fresh food and locally brewed real ale served up in a warm and friendly environment.


Our Food
Only the freshest of ingredients will do and if we can source the produce locally we will.

We are fortunate to have some great local suppliers on our doorstep and our menus are frequently developed to capture the taste and freshness of their superb range of seasonal produce.


Our Ale
Locally produced food wouldn’t be complete without our locally produced ale.

We do like our ale at The County… Black Sheep and The County’s very own brew are firm favourites. They are complemented by a range of guest ales from breweries around the country which means there is always a good selection of beers for the aficionados!


Our Rooms
Our seven luxury guest bedrooms provide the finishing touch.

Each individually designed room will feature the sort of home comforts you come to expect at The County including en-suite facilities, comfy thick duvets, fluffy towels, toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities, Wi-Fi connectivity and flat-screen TVs.
