Me and my partner have just got back from a 2 night stay here. Honestly from the staff to the food to the actual castle. Absolotely fantastic. We loved it. Food was delicious. Staff were like family. So friendly and nothing was to much for them. We will definitely be returning. A special thanks to Jess...Brenda...kelly, Melissa and Lorraine. What a lovely bunch. They even took us down in to the dungeon etc and explained the history which we loved. Cheers lasses :
This place is really great . We had a fantastic time. The room was clean the bed really comfortable. Everything you need . The staff we’re really helpful we even got a tour of the dungeon. Food was really good we had evening meal and breakfast and good quality food. Views from castle stunning and there’s a lovely garden.
Every member of staff were helpful and welcoming. In particular, Harry who served us in the restaurant was excellent and the breakfast team sorry - can’t remember names! on the morning of 5th Sept. Food was outstanding and the hotel manager very kindly gave us a guided tour of the hotel and his love of the Castle, together with his enthusiasm for his job was brilliant!! We will definitely return.
Lovely Hotel, attended a wedding, food was excellent, staff were friendly, Stayed in West wing however was awoken by the A/C outside the window near the kitchen when the early morning staff arrived, our bedroom 15 was adjoining the cleaners cupboard who were oblivious to the noise they were generating at 0600 in the morning. I had planned to charge my EV however the charge point was not serviceable. Minor issues that shouldn't deter you from visiting :
We went on a winter warmer special for my wife's birthday, Excellent value. Staff were very welcoming, also when we got to a room there was a birthday card for the wife, over and above,five star .Rooms: 5/5
From dale on reception to all the staff it is pleasing to see how friendly the whole process is.i must also say the in house cleaners are superb and often get overlooked in these type of reviews. Looking forward to our next stayRooms: 5/5

Booked this for an overnight break as a Christmas present for my brother and his fiance. Upgraded to a four poster room and absolutely disgusted was not as advertised as a luxurious 4 poster room. Sheets were scruffy basic 4 poster frame with no drapes on it. Very basic and spoilt there stayRooms: 1/5
Fabulous two day stay. Made perfect by the wonderful staff. The manager was amazing as was Philip who was the restaurant manager during our stay. Very attentive and friendly. Also a big shout out to Gail at breakfast who was delightful and super friendly and attentive. She remembered how I like my coffee cold and on the second day, she prepared it early for me and it was waiting, cooled down and ready to drink. Absolutely faultless. Will remember them for a long while to come.
An absolutely beautiful building - rooms were gorgeous and clean, staff and service was fantastic and we would highly recommend staying here. Lots of things to do a short drive away and beautiful scenery.Rooms: 5/5
