Fab hotel. Stayed for 3 nights. One day the room tidy was poor. I complaiened they apolagised and offered to put things right straight away. The staff were fabulous friendly and willing to engage smiley grounds are lovely parking easy. Spa and swim suitable. I would recommend this hotel and return. Just been here for the May half term holiday. Our rooms have AC and a balcony with a good view. The pool is decent size and clean. Loved the green and open spaces. We enjoyed lounging in front of the hotel where theres a huge ground with lots of outdoor toys for kids. The location is secluded and very relaxing. Our stay here is like in Center Parcs minus the big pool.
Check in/out experience not warming very hostile cold not friendly both looked very disinterested.nThe room was lovely clean, not a lover of two twin beds pushed together but it was adequate and well sized.nThe service in the restaurant was slow and they seemed hurried to serve and get you out, no offer of further drink when you were eating and when you asked for the drinks menu they never came back and took your order.nThe spa was lovely. The massage was good the as staff were friendly polite welcoming and very good. It was sad as a couple we were booked together and not together but this was fine, they could of said we would not be together, the treatments were top class though, breakfast was good. I had to find someone to take my order off the menu which was a shame as my husband had mostly finished his breakfast by the time mine came. Yes he could of waited but the service again just seemed lacking.nIt was my second stay here having stayed here 2 years before and I definitely have noticed a difference I came back as I enjoyed it but this time was a while different experience.
We booked a two night spa break just after the Easter weekend and it was great. The room was clean and very well kept. The staff were all very friendly and made you feel welcome, but that is the single point that let's the hotel down. Silly little things like having to wait to get seated for dinner. When we went to breakfast, a young man was at the welcome desk and ignored us for several minutes as he was looking at the diary. Call me old fashioned, but you don't keep paying customers waiting like that! Being asked if we want another drink when we'd just ordered our first drink from the bar at 10pm. That triggered me to ask why? And what time they were closing? Turned out that the bar closed at 11pm with last orders at 1030pm. The bar was empty apart from us, and you could tell they were cleaning up ready to go home. It didn't lend itself to a welcoming atmosphere, but the staff were still very friendly. The Spa was really good and the staff were excellent. Would we go back? Yes, the food was fantastic. Just those service gremlins drag it down!
Lovely stay here - decent spa facilities, though we felt the pool could be cleaner... however it was easter school holidays and seemed busy. The hotel staff were all very helpful, and let us check-in early! We did not pay extra for breakfast or dinner, but the coffees we had here were also very nice. Gym was well-equipped with everything you could want for a decent workout, and not too busy at all considering they offer memberships external to the hotel. Overall, the location of this hotel was great, and very convenient to get around cornwall. Would stay again!
