The coach is two attached 200 years old houses with a nice cosy atmosphere and narrow corridors and stairs. I had a nice experience and the host is kind and gentle. If you want breakfast you have to ask them and they have to be informed while you want to book a room. Nearby activities: It is close to the city center and you walk and enjoy the vibe.
I reckon it was the cleanest hotel I had ever stayed in. We had a room no 6 with large, very comfortable bed and lovely big bathroom. There's a parking in front of the building so we had no trouble with the car. The owner kindly phoned and gave us instructions how to check in in case he wasn't there when we arrived. So our check in and out went absolutely without any problem. The location is fantastic, few minutes walk to main attractions, river trips, shops and places to eat. I highly recommend The Coach House. Rooms: Lovely, very clean room. Nearby activities: Few minutes walk to Cathedral, river trips, main attractions, shops and more. Noteworthy details: Parking in front of the house.
A charming period b&b in the heart of Canterbury with parking. Close to everything you need or could want in the city.Rooms: 5/5
Owner is very accommodating and nice guy. The location is excellent. Access to everything. Three Runs pub is just down the street. The pub with Roman ruins under it. Walkability: Close to everything but just off enough to be really quiet while steps away from action.
Absolutely great location and a very charming building. Stayed in room 4 the triple room. Spotlessly clean and great bedding, really comfortable beds. Bathroom is just outside the room which was fine for us and exactly as advertised, love the bathroom decor. Towels very tired in contrast to the bed sheets which were pristine and shower was ok but not reliable temperature. It's tricky to review in the current climate, we didn't fancy having a limited breakfast left outside our room so didn't try it.
Absolutely brilliant location and guest house. We had a really large family room, and the breakfasts were amazing. Something for everyone, including freshly made crepes and delicious fresh orange juice. The B&B is superbly located; we must have popped back about five times each day, dropping off shopping and recharging our batteries. Lovely people too!
I would recommend this place to anybody visiting Canterbury, the location is excellent, and the owner solves every issue, from the parking there is free parking just in front of the house, but limited to 4 spaces, so he told me where to park, a public parking just across the street to the breakfast time. The breakfast is continental but that’s not a problem. I was supposed to have breakfast at 8 but at the last minute I changed my mind and went to the Cathedral just 5’ away btw to the 8 am service, he texted me and when I came back 8.45 I had the breakfast in my room with the hot coffee. The stairs could be a problem for the elderly and the luggage, but I guess the owner will be there to help.
I have mixed feelings about this one. The room was clean and spacious. The house is very central, and has a supermarket in front of it. Having said this, the price was 90£ per night, without breakfast included. The reception was permanently closed and the bathroom wasn't en-suite. After doing the checkout at 10.30, we asked if we could leave our bags there for a couple of hours and they agreed. However when we came back to pick them, no one was there to open the door. So 3/5 because it's a family business, but a lot can be improved. PS. The pictures they post are NOT realistic.
Comfortable Coach House Lovely Grade 2, listed Georgian building. Convienient central location. My single room was very small, but adequate. Comfortable & quiet. Clean & picturesque room, if just a little worn down. Shower/bathroom extremely small! Slightly on the expensive side as no b/fast included, but still great value. Plenty of delicious breakfast opportunities nearby! Would definitely recommend.....
Great location, big comfy beds. Nice hosts, easy check in and out..only reason for 4 stars was WiFi not good in the room I stayed in but we were top floor...would stay again
