Story

Greyfriars Lodge is a Grade II listed building which was built by Franciscan monks as the gate house to their monastery. The gate still acts as an entrance to the Greyfriars Garden and Chapel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was adequate although the sliced meat and cheese in the chiller looked dry and starting to curl. Bed was very comfortable but unfortunately let down by the tired decor and poorly maintained shower. Had basin was only good for rinsing my hands.

Really really friendly and helpful staff. Very close to the high street which is very convenient. Room is ok. It's quite an old building and that shows in the rooms. Bathroom is OK but annoyingly no shower. The bed was spacious and comfy. Overall, satisfactory and does the job. Maybe slightly pricey, but I stayed NYE and it's quite close to city centre, so possibly reasonable.

Very nice place and a lot of history. It's bigger that you think. A little bit of a pain to get into at some times due to the small access road that used by cars and trucks. Parking available close and more a little walk away. Has other restaurants close.

Great place and lovely location !!! The room was perfect nice size and well cleaned... we are definitely going back Highly recommended !!!!!! Regards Mattia & Veronica

The hotel was ok and in a great location. The staff were fantastic. I think the price was a bit high considering no shower and car parking a distance away. Overall a pleasant stay.
