Stayed for a single night in a basic pack room without breakfast. The room was pleasant, but not remarkable. Clean, with a comfortable bed, iron, ironing board, TV and safe. Staff seemed pleasant and the hotel itself was warm and welcoming. Location was excellent. Would happily stay there again.

Well situated city centre hotel. Restaurant very pleasant; evening meal and breakfast both high quality. Our standard room was clean, quiet and well equipped. Would happily return.

Went for Christmas meal. What we had was well cooked and presented. Just nowhere near enough for the price paid. We were given a bread starter on the table only to find out that it was extra and we were charged £1 per slice. Each slice was very thinly cut and small It was explained that it was because the bread was baked on site ..even I can put a part baked loaf in the oven and warm it!! Drinks very expensive. Nice surroundings and very polite helpful staff though

Nice place in the middle of the high street. Rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast is hit and miss though as to the quantity you receive I.e. salmon and scrambled eggs. Sometimes lots of salmon, others hardly any.

Terrible overpriced cocktails. On Saturday a friend said the breakfast was wonderful. On Sunday it was inedible. The bacon was hard and dry (not crispy which would have been OK) as we're the mushrooms The replacement bacon when we complained was almost raw.
