Highly recommended. Its a lovely pub both inside and out, the food is first class. Bar staff really helpful and friendly, but our waitress Tia was amazing...she wasnt just efficient and attentive, she was extremely helpful, with a bubbly personality that must surely encourage people to return.
Had a table for 10, the food & service was very good, although we did have to wait longer for our desserts, than we did our mains.nVery busy, as they had live music, but great atmosphere, maybe a little loud if you're planning on talking at your table!nOverall though, a lovely place, with lovely food.nHighly recommend.
I don't write many reviews, so when I do it's because somewhere is one end or other on the scale...nHad to write a review after booking to have a gathering at The Cleveland Bay, to kick off my wife's 50th celebrations.nnJohn, Jade & the team couldn't have been more accommodating, they booked us out the conservatory area and we pre ordered pizzas for our 35 guests.nEveryone raved about the pizza, they were fantastic and were accompanied by a lot of chunky chips and some very lovely salad; The team also went the extra mile and cooked some separate flat breads for a guest with gluten intolerance.nnAll the staff were great fun and friendly, great experience - highly recommended
I was at the pub today between lunchtime with my two youngest daughters who are 6 and 12. When we came in the place looked very nice, but our waiter was extremely rude to us. Not to give this place a bad review but I never got the name of the girl serving us she called my daughter spoilt when she was having a melt down, I think she meant it as a joke so I awkwardly laughed it off. Whoever this was being a little rude, please think about what you say as my daughter got a little upset about what you said and it made it worse.nThe food on the other hand was okay, but did not look like what they sounded like or from what I ordered, and the waiter who called my daughter spoilt gave the food a little bit cold. Overall a pretty nice pub, but I will not be coming again, Do not recommend this place to parents with young children.
Out for a brisk walk on a cold morning after the snow, I dropped in for a warm and refreshment. A really welcoming place, well spaced out and comfortable. Very friendly staff and good beer - only Wadworth on handpump, but that fine by me!
