The Clarendon Leamington Spa

This is a good pub, fast service and a younger atmosphere. The food is only average tho and too much is deep fried. Beer selection good and seems to vary the offering. Quiz night is a bit packed, no complaint tho, good to see it is busy and quite rightly so. Note it is for a younger crowd, the Fox and Vivian is an alternative for older folks like me.

The Clarendon has a great atmosphere with a down to Earth interior and it feels like it fits somewhere between a student bar and a hipster bar, which I really liked. We ate here twice recently and the food was very good for the exceptionally reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and inviting and there are board games available to take off the shelf and play while you're hanging out. In short, a super cool place that I really enjoyed visiting!

I used to be a regular at the Clarendon a couple of years ago and it was always a decent place for a good pint and interesting food. It was the sort if place that attracted a completely mixed crowd: students, business workers, hipsters, builders and parents. I knew that it had changed hands and was a bit apprehensive. Even more so when I heard it's now owned by the same people who own Yates Wine Lodge and Slug & Lettuce. Don't worry. It's good. They've redecorate, but not removed all the fantastic musician drawings. They've added their own character to the place, but not erased what made it a great place. I've only been at lunchtime, and it wasn't busy, but it still had a good feel. The barman (or manager) I chatted to was very friendly and knowledgeable about the beer. Great range of keg, cask & bottled beer. Interesting food menu. Not too bright. Vintage consoles available. Sport on tv in a separate area and dogs are welcome. If you are offered an upgrade to "angry chips", say yes. Don't ask, just say yes. A wholehearted recommendation. Glad they didn't ruin the place. Now if they could just do something about Yates in Nottingham...

Nice enough with a strong student atmosphere. Pleasant but pricy food. Brooklyn Brewery on tap, which is decent.

Good sports pub but a selection of far to random beers which can be hard to drink
