The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Didsbury, South Manchester, is one of the largest cancer treatment centres in Europe and is World famous. I went there today for a PET Scan, and I have to say the staff are diamonds, nothing is too much trouble and all done with a smile and a caring attitude. My questions were answered, and the one question the lovely Jan could not answer, she consulted a colleague and came back with an answer; I could not have asked for better treatment - thank you everybody! I even got a cuppa and digestive biscuits. After my scan, I visited the canteen for a late lunch, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, to which my daugher agreed, not to mention the price - brilliant!

Over seven years ago my father was referred here i witnessed how he was treated and it was a utter disgrace. Some body who was supposed to be a professional by the name of monsoor shrugged my father and his terminal cancer of as if he was a irritant standing in the way of dinner or home. This man looked in my fathers face and with a smirk told him you will die the cancer will kill you, there was no interest from him in talking about any treatment or experimental treatment should my father have wished to fight the cancer, there was only this man condemning my father to death. I personally think this place and Wythenshawe hospital who's negligence caused his misdiagnose who this place were in talks with wanted my father to die as quickly as possible so he was out of the way and more importantly silent .

It's a really nice hospital. The staff are really nice and friendly. My girlfriends dad was a patient here for 10 years and they looked after him to to the very end. The whole hospital is a very nice place to be especially for people who are having treatments and staying in.

This is a tough one to rate really as it's hardly a happy place to be. We took my father here on many occasions, when he was too sick to drive there himself. The waiting around is agonizing and the pharmacy has extreme waiting times when all you want to do is go home. I never liked going there and I wasn't this sick one, so God only knows what those with cancer must feel. I look on it as a place of saddnes and death I'm afraid. Just pray you never have to go there.
