This is an exceptional children's hospital, the facilities and child-centred design makes what could ordinarily be an immensely stressful visit, less so for both children and caregivers. Thank you to all at Outpatients Clinic 2 including Dr Atanasov for making our daughter feel at ease today, a lovely team from start to finish, thorough in their assessment and providing all the information we needed to ensure best care for our daughter.nnIf only every city had a dedicated Children's hospital like this!
My son had a dental procedure done at RMCH on Wednesday. The doctors that I’ve spoken to and who were caring for my son were absolutely fantastic! The dentist and the anaesthesiologist were absolutely fantastic; they’d explained everything step by step, made sure he was safe and kept me sane when I thought I’d lose my mind with worry. I genuinely wish I remembered their names, because I’d love to thank them again.nnThe nurses were lovely too. My son is autistic and was all over the place exploring and running and they were super kind and understanding. The nurse who looked after him after his surgery was one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, and so was the night nurse who kept checking if we were okay.
Manchester children hospital provides excellent care with their helpful, polite and caring staff. My son has been there several times both as inpatient and outpatient. specially ward 78 was always well cared for and I am really thankful to the doctor and nurses.
I waited in the waiting area of Ward 76 whilst my child had their operation. The Recovery team called to say he was awake and the nurses said I wasn’t there!! Blatent lies my child was left to wake up after an operation with strangers not knowing what was going on and scared!nnThen in the ward it took 2 hours for him to even be checked on, given food. I had to ask for pain relief as they were late giving it to him.nnDoctors were happy to discharge said within the hour 2.5hrs later had to chase to find out they’d left his antibiotics out of the fridge and needed to order more so we could go but would have to come back to pick them up another 2 hours later!nnToilets were filthy poo on the seats, dirty towels left in the bathroom worst experience ever.nWhen I went to the nurse station they just continued with their conversations personal and ignored my existence standing there like a lemming, god forbid I just wanted help for my son.nnNot nice hearing nurses sit and slag off patients/parents either whilst sat at their stations. Overall rude and arrogant staff not much care for the children needs.
amazing hospital, as an autistic patient, they have made me feel happy and approach me in the correct manner. especially burns and plastics aftercare, if you read this, HI!! everyone has respect for one another, sadness isn’t alllowed into this building, everyone is courteous and always chipper! the camhs is also excellent coming from a patient of nearly 2 years, efficient service and kind staff. autism diagnosis took only a few months, which is exceptional knowing the lists. i’m going off my personal experience with rmch which as always been good. yummy cafes, i am going to be back on tuesday 14th may, cya there!! :D
