I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team at Salford Royal Hospital .nnI attended the Emergency Department with very high blood pressure, and although there was a wait, I completely understood that patients need to be seen according to the seriousness of their condition. The waiting time was very reasonable, and throughout the process, I felt reassured that everyone was working hard to provide the best possible care.nnWhat impressed me most was the thoroughness of the doctors and staff. They didn’t simply treat my blood pressure and send me home. They took my concerns seriously, carried out detailed assessments, kept me in hospital overnight for observation, and carefully adjusted my medication to find one that was more suitable for me. Thankfully, my blood pressure is now much better controlled.nnI was especially grateful that they looked beyond the immediate problem. They arranged further investigations, including an echocardiogram and an ultrasound, to make sure there were no underlying issues, and they also ensured that my GP would continue my care after I left the hospital. That level of attention and continuity gave me great confidence and reassurance.nnEvery member of staff I met—from the doctors and nurses to everyone involved in my care—treated me with kindness, professionalism, and compassion. During a time that was frightening for me, they made me feel safe, listened to, and genuinely cared for.nnThank you to the entire team for your dedication, expertise, and hard work. The NHS is incredibly fortunate to have professionals like you, and I will always be grateful for the excellent care I received.
Overall, I found the hospital to be well organised and clean, and I would like to thank the staff for their professionalism and dedication. Many of the nurses and clinical staff were kind, approachable, and took the time to explain procedures clearly, which helped put me at ease during my visit.nI particularly appreciated the efforts of staff who were working under pressure, yet still remained patient and respectful. This made a significant difference to my experience and reflects positively on the hospital.nnThat said, there are areas where improvements could be made, particularly around waiting times and communication updates. Clearer information about delays or next steps would help reduce anxiety for patients and families.nnThank you for the care provided and for the hard work of all staff. I hope this feedback is helpful in continuing to improve patient experience.
After years of coming to this hospital for help I had an incident where I'd had a seizurenArrived at the hospital having been told that all the details of my seizure had been passed across - reception desk was incredibly rude, confirmed they had not been provided with my details. Still panicking after my seizure my partner tried to help clarify my name and details and was told they were being rude by the reception desknReception team asked if I needed mental health support for my seizurennStaff were exceptionally rude, behaved without care or compassion, and practically dismissed usnHad it been at all busy I would've understood their attitude but it was completely quietnnI will never come back to this hospital againnnEdit:nTo clarify, I had suffered my first ever seizure, thought I was dying, called an ambulance. Paramedics were amazing and helped me nook a taxi to a&e. Taxi dropped me off on the wrong side of the hospital and staff at reception acted like i was scum who'd just walked in off the street to annoy them. Earlier today I was afraid that I was dying, why on earth would you think its appropriate to talk to somebody like that???
All nurses and Doctors are absolute stars . They work so hard and have always made me feel at ease when visiting for appointments.nnAlso an absolute hats off to all staff in the Heart Care Unit. I was very worried about leaving my friend on her own overnight but I was reassured by all nurses that she will be completely cared for. So a big big thank you to all of you at HCU
Panda unit: we A&E visited on a Wednesday evening. Clerk was very approachable, waiting area was clean with accessible toilets. Even though it was moderately busy we were seen promptly and the triage nurse was very friendly, putting us at ease. We were sent to Xray and were seen straight away, again staff were happy to explain any questions we had. After we waited for the doctor, this was around 30minutes. Once seen the doctor explained to my child exactly what she had done and how to fix it with images. All the staff were incredible, overall we was in and out in 1.5hrs.
