Good food, but most impressed with the staff as they were very busy but still attentive, they also told us as we came in as a walk in that they had paused orders for a while so not to overwhelm the kitchen and told us the delay and they understood if we didn't want to wait. I love this communication not only with the customers but also with the kitchen and front of house just seamed very organised and like a true team.
Lovely meals, great value for money. The gazebo was great...anything with pretty lights looks great at night too. We've been twice - once in the cold in May and once in July. Not been disappointed on either visit and will definitely go again
5 of us went here for Sunday lunch, and we all really enjoyed the food. I had the sausage and mash, and the Lincolnshire sausages were fab. For dessert I had the trio of desserts and again it was lovely. The service was excellent and very friendly, even though the place was packed, we didn't have to wait for ages or anything. It's obviously a popular place and I can see why. I would happily recommend giving this place a visit.
I had driven from West Wales for a family Sunday lunch with my elderly uncle - it was a long way to go for Sunday lunch especially as I am not fond of pub style lunches ! I was in for a very pleasant surprise, lovely, helpful staff and really good food attractively served. I very well might come back and take him out again just to eat here. Thank you all for a lovely time.
Had a meal during the week, it was so good we booked for The Sunday Lunch , and that was even better. Lamb which you dont see often in Restaurants, so good and so much of it. Creamed Potatoes, Roast Potatoes ,Veg, even a Yorkshire pud, which most places only give you if you have Beef. Wonderful friendly service. Fantastic choice on the menu, what more could you want?
Visited for lunch but actually went for the main menu. The cottage pie was delicious with red velvet cheesecake for dessert. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Prices were reasonable too. Will definitely visit again!
A tiny over priced prawn starter. Philly burger was dry and really disappointing, chips hard and under cooked. Staff/service decent though and let down by the food - shame
I took my mum along with my 4 sisters for afternoon tea, I have never been so disappointed, the sandwiches look like they had been thrown together and consisted of cheese and picklenot everyone likes pickle chicken tecka and salmon, not one ham or tuna sandwich, not one sausage roll or pork pie no chicken goujon, just a couple of cocktail sausage some sort of quiche may I add a bit size piece!! A scones some sort of treacle, slice fruit cake a little pavlova with a few strawberries. This was for three people sharing at £22.50 each for what was offered I could have whipped up for £15 for it all. Disgusting really, and such a shame as it's quite a nice pub.
Went yesterday food excellent, service excellent staff very helpful and friendly, reasonable prices good selection on menus, catered for all food requests, would certainly go again.
Food was excellent, atmosphere was excellent, and very reasonable on price. Will definately be going to try more of the menu. Thanks for a great night.
