Town centre pub/hotel with a well deserved reputation for its beer. Professionally run by genuinely nice people. You're never likely to see it empty and frequently busy. Proper 'heart of the community ' pub. You won't find many/any to match this place in Spalding. Every visit is a pleasure
Lovely friendly place to stop for an afternoon Beer/glass of wine or tea/coffee while out shopping, Great atmosphere, and good outdoor seating area except on days that the market is on. Haven't seen rooms so can't commentService: 5/5
Food and service were excellent beer, not so good, meaning not to my taste, that's allRooms: 5/5
Great Beers, reasonable price and good Ullage. Friendly staff and outdoor seating on a lovely evening. Never stayed in the rooms but I'm told they are good, clean and well priced. Central Spalding. Disabled access via side door.Rooms: 4/5

Good location in the centre of town, good pint of beer served in a friendly atmosphere.Service: 4/5
The Red Lion Hotel is somewhere I have not been to for many a year ..Once upon a time it was one of the places to drink in...So as I was staying with a friend in Spalding it was the ideal opportunity to check it out ..The bar is good with ample seating both inside and out and the atmosphere excellent with a nice friendly feel to it ..Prices a little more expensive than up near Leeds but acceptable all the same ...I was very pleased with the toilet facilities , clean and fresh smelling which to me makes a lot of difference . .Didn't try the restaurant but with quite a few ppl in it was obviously popular ..All in all I enjoyed my visit .
Probably the best pub in Spalding! Expect a pretty traditional setting, in the center of town, a older gentlemans daytime hide away, yet very multicultural in the evening and sun trap out the front when its sunny. From the expected beers, wines and shorts, to a rotation of quality ales and IPAs! The only downside is I've yet to find the time to eat here since they changed management and did a complete kitchen/menu revamp, because the food smell can occasionally waft through to the bar and smells awesome! The staff are "ok", if you like staff that have work here for years and will give you a bit of banter once they get to know you
