Superb pub in a pretty village in the Vale of Glamorgan, just outside Cowbridge. The food and the service here is consistently good. They have a very good range of home made pies, of which they're justifiably proud. I ordered the Steak, Guinness and Stilton pie and my wife had the wild mushroom and asparagus pie. You get a choice of accompaniments and both the side salad or beautifully presented fresh vegetables compliment the pies well. This is our favourite pub in the Vale and it's worth making the trip off the A48 to St Hillary. One word of caution : phone for a reservation or prepare to be possibly disappointed! :)

Excellent food with a lovely ambiance. Only disappointing aspects were they ran out of the beer I was drinking and they were a bit slow to bring over the bill so we ended up asking for it. Still excellent all round though.

Quaint thatched pub. It was busy and we hadn't booked but they found a table for us in front of the fire. We have rebooked for s family lunch for Easter

This is a beatiful pub inside and out, besides being a great place to eat. Seasonal offers as well as a standard menu. Good food. Good service. Friendly staff. Try it.
