Excellent food and service. The asparagus appetizer was excellent. Their bread is delicious with just the right amount of rosemary. Difficult choosing which entree as they all sounded delicious.
Chef Tony is doing such amazing stuff here! Our best dining experience on our trip to the English countryside from NYC. Grated goat cheese on beets is so subtle and it incorporates flavor of the cheese in every bite, not just chunks you taste here and there. The trout appetizer with peanut sauce and radish was also delicious. Our mains were perfectly cooked Hake with such delicious vegetables with yellow daal and pakora mind blowing on the side, and a classic fish and chips that was made to perfection. And for dessert we tried the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and the rhubarb which were both very delectable. All in all, 20/10 recommend.
Delicious Sunday Roast. The Asparagus soup was lovely and light for a starter, and the pork and chicken were cooked to perfection. They weren’t stingy with the gravy, and the red cabbage paired very well with the main acts. The Sunday Spritz was delicious too! Service was friendly and attentive. Only gripe was a small mistake on the bill that was quickly rectified. Can’t wait to come again and try the lamb!
Food was good, but nothing extraordinary. Meet was a bit dry, desert was too sweet.nWe ordered from Sunday roast menu. On other days there’s a different menu, maybe that one is better.
Absolutely delicious roast dinner. I shared the lamb for 2 with my husband and it was cooked to perfection. I initially thought there wasnt going to be enough food but with the additional vegetables there was plenty. At £27 per lamb dinner, it isn't the cheapest of places to eat but you get what you pay for and we were not disappointed. The puddings were very tasty too. Everyone in our party really enjoyed their lunch.
