Lovely chilled out cosy atmosphere with candle light and smashing food! Staff are lovely and friendly! I've been here a few times and they're always quick, the food is reliably delicious, priced reasonably and a great place to come and visit when it's a little cold outside!
Our favourite go to gastro pub with amazing customer service and equally good food. They always accommodated our last minute plan including today busy Mother’s Day. Sunday roast is superb, but their lemon sole and big to-share steak are even more amazing. Highly recommend if you are in the neighbourhood and have not come around to try them out.
A welcoming pub with great staff. I moved here from outside London, and I've been welcomed in and made friends. Great food, and always a great night. Top pub, and much loved by the local community.
Needs new staff: Having had a number of good meals here, it’s a disappointment to write this: - beer lager warm and dirty glass literally dust in the head foam - white wine warm and getting ice took 20 minutes, whilst the red was ice cold - service worse than abysmal - stated allergens a garnishing herb ignored for 2 courses for the same person - ordered and charged for ribeye, yet got an overcooked rump, one person got warm soup the other cold of the same - bill completely screwed up… service took so long 2 people had to leave after 3.5 hours, both paid at bar. Their items were still in the bill along with the being charged 2x remade items you’d think they’d have not put parsley garnish on the second course. Staff claimed that they couldn’t fix the bill, so I’m now forced to dispute the whole thing with the credit card company. - the three staff working who were quite fluent in English at the beginning of the meal claimed to not speak enough of it to resolve the issue with the bill, over four hours later.
Food was great and so was the atmosphere. Quiet enough to be able to have a conversation and the chicken burger was super tasty ++ big plus for the calories displayed on the menu
Lovely atmosphere and a good range of drinks but there are alternative options in the area that are more favourable for food. H/e their alpine fries are lovely.
Joined for Christmas Day lunch here. Absolutely fantastic! The staff were brilliant, the food was phenomenal and the wine list is suitably broad. The only complaint is there is only cold water in the bathroom so not very hygienic imho odd for such a nice place. Hopefully they fix this, definitely recommended!
Nice pub with good music. Fondue is nice. Would recommend when having a chill night with friends
