Amazed that people have given this place such high ratings. Having visited this Boma and the one is Putney, I can say that this is much worse than the other. The Sunday roast had a pepper taste throughout, there was a lot of fat around and the Yorkshire has a lot of oil at the bottom. Great for drinks, awful for food.
Came here because other great brunch places around were absolutely packed on a Saturday - we were quite disappointed. I had full English breakfast: the bacon was black burnt and tasted burnt, the rest of the meal was average tasting too. The fresh orange juice didn't taste overly fresh either to be honest. Service was quite average / slow.
We went in having seen the sign outside advertising cocktails for £5. When the bill came we were charged full price, but when we queried it we were told that the discounted cocktails were on a separate list and we should have asked for it. Felt misled and ripped off. Please be transparent with your customers. On a positive note the staff were great and the cocktails were really good. Would not advise people not to go, but would recommend getting clarity on pricing.
I've been several times and Boma manages to always have a friendly buzzing atmosphere that clears even the worst of bad days at work or Saturday morning hangovers. I love it there. The prawn dumplings are my favourite starter and you can't go wrong with a Boma Burger or their steaks! Oh and the Bloody Marys are miracle workers
Took an hour to order food, had to ask to order drinks we were a table of 6, pre booked, food ok but curries had been sitting under lights. Took another half hour + to get a waiter to ask for the bill. Disappointing. That being said, atmosphere great and the music good. Acoustics at the back of the venue are not great. Even friends with good hearing struggled. Would we go again? Probably!!
I do love the food and drinks at Boma green. It used to be one of my first hand choices when I lived in parsons green. The only major downside is their live music evenings. Whilst a lovely idea, it's way too small for having live music in there.
Great menu, had the opportunity of meeting the chef who was so friendly and willing to share his creative influences which was so interesting. Great staff, especially the friendly and attentive Matteo! Highly recommend place for a quick pint or delicious dinner!
Lovely food and had the pleasure to have a delightful chat with the lovely chef Mark... such a gent and really passionate about his work! Unfortunately not all staff were so good, two other chefs with a careless attitude to the dining atmosphere put a bit of a dampen on the night... food would definitely be worth a return but some staff are a bit off putting.
Nice coctails here. Food is excellent here as well. Boma Green is worth a visit.
Another bright brunch joint in the area although the lunch/dinner menu looks great too. Serving more than just the standard egg combinations of benedict/florentine/royale, you can easily build your own breakfast with the full list of options available although this can get a little pricy. Great detox and retox cocktails available and good coffee too.
