Amazing Pub with great atmosphere and best affordable prices. The staff is really friendly and the food is super delicious. The outdoor garden is so pretty, just love the vibe. Will definitely visit again and would recommend others.
DO NOT ORDER A PERONI FROM THE GOLDEN LION. I had exactly the same experience as the following review: "When you serve a pint of Peroni and it’s flat don’t pour the contents into another glass and give it back to the customer. Makes it even flatter. £5.30 a pint." I requested another drink because my Peroni was completely flat and was refused. Instead, the bar staff poured it into another glass with the excuse that the glass was to blame! I explained that this defied logic but tasted again what was now a flatter pint before again requesting another drink. Another member of staff, who seemed to be the team lead on the night, intervened and confirmed the Golden Lion belief that Peroni glasses "just do that to drinks". Our night here concluded with him pouring my totally flat Peroni into a new Hop House glass!
Quality old style pub, very friendly and quiet throughout the day. Plays most Sporting events often, and has a DJ every Friday night!!! Great vibe all round!!! Also, Robbie in the kitchen serves some great classic pub food, cooked to perfection!!!
Drink here before most Fulham games, great choice of beers & spirits, huge garden with heated areas & plenty of TV screens both inside and out showing all of the sport, plus freshly cooked burgers on match days. Staff are great too.
Nice place, staff is really gentle and the service is great. They have good choice of beers but the kitchen is a step up. My burger was fantastic and it's all homemade.
The service at the golden lion is amazing. The staff are really friendly, especially the manager Pete and the team members that were on with him Katherine, Alisha, Denise, Will and Max. They never fail to serve with a smile
We’ve had parties, hang outs, sports time and even work meetings at The Golden Lion Fulham. The friendly staff, resonable and brilliantly poured pints, a warm and welcoming ambience and the amazing food makes this pub the most perfect pub to go to in all of Fulham!
It has just had an extensive makeover March 2019. I was worried it would take away the character of the place, but it doesn’t seem to have done that at all. It’s provided a lot more seating outside a lot of it under cover. Some booths at the end of the garden, lots of TV monitors around by the booth like don’t know the term tables. I was also worried prices may have increased, I’m not sure if they have or haven’t, but that in itself tells me that if they have, it’s certainly not significant enough for me to have noticed. I do think they are very reasonable compared to other places. My only gripe is the number or people and that it’s hard to get served on match day. Probably not much that can be done about that... they do stop letting people in when it gets too full. It’s easier to get served at the barbecue grill outside, that was quick, but it would be handy if they did a couple of soft drink options there and not just beer, maybe even just tins or bottles of coke. Reasonably priced, good place to drink before football, although it can get very crowded making it hard to get served. Often have a burger grill going outside. I’ve been told yesterday that the burger was £4 and was very good with lots of bacon in it. Good pub for home football fans, although the pub is small, there is big beer garden.
Great place peter is friendly in there on march day it home fans only what is great some time have live music on can what sports in there got USB porter for phone charging and plug sockets reasonable prices
Without a doubt one of the most homely and welcoming pubs I’ve been to - keep doing what you’re doing!
