Went with a couple of friends for lunch, we had 40%off vouchers, so thought we'd try it. It was packed so obviously everyone had the same idea. We all had a starter, main course and two of us had pudding. The service was excellent even though it was busy. We each had a different starter, two of us had the salmon dish which was very tasty, one had a jerk chicken burger, that was so dry you could hardly swallow it. The puddings were fine. However, one of us ended up being extremely ill the following morning and needed to see the doctor, for antibiotics to sort her stomach out. I don't think we'd risk it again.

Great location for Gunwharf Quay. Clean and comfortable plus helpful staff. Bathroom did need some attention but this didn't detract from our overnight stay.

Bad points: Parking is rubbish we had to park on the road outside, as we couldn’t get the car and the trailer in the car park. On looking on google earth afterwards there is more parking at the bottom of the hill beyond the restaurant which we couldn't see due to the poor lighting and the fact it was hiding at the side of the restaurant. The whole grounds of the hotel and the restaurant are very hilly and not at all suitable for anyone in a wheelchair. The Disabled room that I requested was 1 double bed, which we did not want. On being told by the receptionist all disabled rooms are a lower double bed and no separate couch/ single bed in all premier inn's. We asked to be swapped rooms as they had 1 more room that the guest had not arrived for yet. She insisted she would have to ask the guest if he would mind having a disabled room? Why I don’t know? And when we returned from the Beefeater she told us that the gentleman had said he didn’t want our disabled room. we where left with the choice of going to another hotel or sleep with my dad I am disgusted by this lack of regard for the customer. The receptionist did successfully change our room at the Folkestone (channel tunnel) Premier inn for the next 2 evenings. When we got to Folkestone we found that every king-size hypnos bed in a standard room, has a pull out bed under it, I don’t believe it would have been too difficult for her to take the roll out bed from the guests room who hadn’t arrived, and make it up and put it in our room. As it was a wheelchair accessible room there was plenty of space for it. There was no mention on premier inns website of it being a smaller double bed in a disabled room otherwise, I would have booked a normal room and asked for ground floor. Premier inn if you are reading this take note and make sure your website is clear on this! Good points: Friendly receptionist tried to help us with our problem but I believe now that they could have taken a roll out bed from another room so that we (father and son) did not have to sleep together. Breakfast was stone cold as was the restaurant if the place had been warmer maybe the food would stand a chance of staying warm. I’ve had warmer continental breakfasts than the full English we had here. Chef looked like he had escaped from kindergarten. Maybe that’s why breakfast was so bad.
