Freezing cold, no heating , no customers and no service. Asked if they could put heating on was told that they had run out of oil. They hadn't even lit the lively open fire in the restaurant area.

My mother in law and a large group of friends visited this restaurant for a Christmas lunch. No fire, no heating and absolutely no ambiance at all. The food was inedible, all served on cold plates and the vast majority of the food was uneaten. Melon and ham starter - swimming in vegetable oil, processed melon? All main choices served on the same bed of poorly cooked vegetables, i.e. chicken, thin piece of minute steak or fish. The sea bass was questionable and tasted not like any sea bass ever tasted before. The deserts are best forgotten, even the grapes were returned to the kitchen as mouldy and crackers soft and spongy.. A huge amount of food was returned to the kitchen uneaten. I do not feel that this establishment deserves 1 star but could not find out how to leave nil stars or would have done so, Be warned, unbelievably bad.

once upon a time this hotel would of been a great hotel . but time has had its toll the rooms are large but the bathrooms need updating and heavy cleaning as black mold around ceiling (room 6) was a little off putting . the hotel doesn't do breakfast (lost revenue there )and there is no staff in the mornings to drop keys off with . with a little money spent and a proper hotel type management team this place could be great again .

Filthy smell. . .do not use room 5 it stank of mould and sewerage. No bar snacks or even machines supplying a form of snack on arrival. The restaurant was closed until 6pm. . .after a long drive that's all you need. Wouldn't go there again
